Arizona sucks, but they might low-key have my favorite helmet in college football
At one time the looked like Auburn's - both classic IMO

This is exactly what happen according to Frost in the post game press conference.
didn't have the energy to watch the post game presser, but if this wasn't the reason I'd be even more upset

they have 2 punters - both are horrible
many Nebraska high school teams have better punters

Bielema punted today on 4th and 2 at the Purdue 34 in the 4th qtr.    Such an NFL coaching move.

MSU had two returners back, and it seemed like all of Nebraska's coverage team ran at the wrong guy.  I'm not sure I've ever seen it. It wasn't like the return on Thursday night, with the fake reverse, just every Nebraska player went the wrong way. My guess is they had an angled punt coverage on, and the punter kicked it the wrong direction. That's the only way that play made sense
I see it every so often, it just rarely works as completely as it did for MSU.
Kadarius Toney's PR TD last year was similar for Florida.
.
But it's a case of a punter kicking the ball on the wrong HALF of his foot, which is insane.  A shank means you kicked the ball an inch or two off target towards the outer edge of the foot.  Fine, whatever.  But to accidently kick the ball with the inner half...hell, it's not even half, it's a diagonal line from the big toe to the middle of the leg...to miss that badly is nuts.

USC gets blown out at home by Oregon State. Hopefully Donte Williams does so bad there as interim HC that he isn't kept on in any capacity by the new coach. Domani Jackson = Michigan lock if that happens.

They just look so much like Auburn to me, when suited out like that.  I like the look but it's not unique.

I noticed that too.  Its like once a team is interecpted,  they can commit any penalty they want to prevent the other team from returning it for a TD.

Now that I think about it, isn't there a rule that if an ineligible player runs onto the field to tackle a guy running for a TD, the other team is given a TD? Otherwise you might as well have the whole team run off from the sidelines to tackle the returner to prevent the TD.

You could use the same logic for other penalties on a  interception in overtime.  If the penalty helped prevent the returning team from scoring a TD,  they should be given the TD and the game is over.

The awarding of a touchdown is at the discretion of the referee. IF the referee determines that the foul that was committed by the offending team was so egregious, he can award a touchdown as part of the penalty enforcement. Generally speaking, the only times I have ever heard of this is when a non player (not one of the 11 players legally on the field at the start of the play) becomes actively involved in the play. To my knowledge, there are no penalties or circumstances short of an actual illegal act (killing another person at which point the game becomes meaningless) that would allow the officials to award a touchdown.

As long as the player was one of the 11 players legally on the field at the start of the play, I cannot think of a penalty that would result in the awarding of a touchdown.
