Probably, what a mess they couldn't leave well enough alone with old rivalries in place

What are teams that have never and will never win the SEC?  You left off A&M, and Ole Miss. And I realize that some of those teams may have won the SEC back in the 60’s and 70’s or earlier, but I’m talking about since the CCG was instituted in 1992.
The point is, every conference has its traditional whipping boys.

Wisconsin is back to being one of those, after 35 years of not being one of those.

I'm at the point of zero confidence. Zero improvement in year 3 - if anything, regression.

For as much as he's been a jerk about this, @Brutus Buckeye is right. Luke Fickell is not a Big Ten coach.

I'd actually love to see the B1G try.  The lawsuit would be over a billion dollars.  It would be a landmark case.
so, if/when 60-80 teams break away and exclude UCLA from the big pot of $$$, will there be a landmark case?

There will certainly be potential anti-trust implications affecting far more schools than just UCLA.

But a breakaway is a completely different scenario, than kicking a member out.  That should be self-explanatory.

The Big Ten and SEC could be disbanded and start over with the schools of their choice, to form the NFL Lite.

When?

All I can think of is Temple and the Big East. Pretty sure they went quietly.

What teams have been kicked out?

Temple got kicked out of the Big East, but they were a satellite member for football only. So that hardly counts.

Idaho and Montana effectively got kicked out of the Pac 12. But the original conference disbanded, and they formed a "new" conference with the other 8 members.

Did Tulane or GA Tech get kicked out of the SEC? I don't know the story there.

You're being deliberately obtuse because you know for a fact that no members have ever been kicked out of the B1G or the SEC in the multi-billion dollar contract era.

Like I said, I'd be highly amused watching the B1G attempt to do it, then getting sued for over a billion dollars, and having to pay all of UCLA's legal fees and bills on top of that.  It would be high comedy.

But we all know it won't ever happen, because the B1G wants UCLA in the conference and doesn't give a shit what rando internet fans want.

This is, of course, the only way it could work.

Pretty sure GaTech left willingly.  I don't recall Tulane's deal.  It was a very very long time ago.  Can you imagine any B1G or SEC team willingly leaving now?

They left on their own. So did Sewanee.
