yeah, well duh.

his implication was that Power 4 conferences just do this whole football thing for free. they don't. they make billions of dollars operating their leagues. and there ain't nothing stupid about it.
No Shyt they're making coin, that's fine until the wheels start falling off Cinderalla's Midnight Carraige - that's stoopid. And it appears to be what may happen

more - more - more - more, that Suits think fans can keep fostering. Both 847 & 94 dropped their season duckets,Badge sited climbing prices - before he moved. Good friend on mine has a Brother who recently retired as an Ear,Nose & Throat Specialist from private pratice. who would watch immediately? probably no one.

but if the NFL and it's tv partners threw insane money behind it and all of the top players in CFB left CFB and jumped ship to NFL Farm and all the recruits in the ESPN/Rivals/247/ON3 top 300 lists started going to the NFL Farm and bypassing college- probably a lot.

but none of this is ever going to happen so it's kind of stupid to even talk or think about imo.
Bullshit.  What day would they play on?  Saturday?  Sunday?  Saturday is full-on CFB.  It doesn't matter what players go where, Michigan, Texas, OU, Nebraska, Texas A&M, Alabama, Georgia, and every other team in the Big 10 and SEC will fill their stadiums with 80,000 plus.  We will all root for our teams, TV or no TV.  You'd basically have to risk billions of dollars to even try to compete with CFB.

Look at baseball's minor league system.  I think I've read that at best, it's a break-even venture.  Most lose money.  They are strictly put there to develop baseball talent that's not quite ready for the majors.  I can only tell you two minor league teams:  Sugarland Skeeters, and Savannah Bananas, and the Sugarland Skeeters are now the Space Cowboys.  They're a freakin' cartoon league.  I've never been to a game or even seen one on TV.  Nobody cares.  And don't tell me they're going to be a spring league.  Nobody is asking for it, nobody wants it.  Plenty of CFB players that can't make it in the NFL have went to the USFL and XFL.  Nobody watches.

Of course because it's going to blow up 1st or turn into gladiator contests that Kings/Queens and their courts can afford to attend

I mean, I'm not proud of it, but it was $77 million, and a connected Alumni told me that money was already committed by the Big Wigs before he was canned.
Fine example of a bad example of where the sport is going

it's funny cause I hate Notre Dame...

ND lost to 2 ranked teams
Miami was host and ranked 10(now 4) when ND lost to them by 3. T A & M was ranked 16(now 10) and ND lost to them by 1 @ home. So hardly humiliating, not fond of them either

It's not as full as it used to be in Madison. Capacity has been reduced from the 85K peak to about 76K today.

There is no longer a 10 year wait list for season tickets. They are trying to peddle them every year, since about 2015 or so.

Students show up sometime in Q2 and leave after Jump Around.

It ain't what it was. The die-hard fans are getting older or actually dying.

The longterm trend in college football attendance is down over the past 10-15 years. I do think it blipped up a bit last year but that's counter to the trend.
