It may just be me, but the officials- especially the replay officials- are dominating so many games now.

Plus- they seem to get so many obvious calls wrong.

I think challenges ahould be part of the strategy.  No automatic reviews, but everything is challengeable.  You get unlimited challenges, but for every one you get wrong, you lose a timeout.  If you have no timeouts, you lose the ability. to challenge

Scrap the caddy Clyde the whole system needs to be revamped. When reviewing plays - break for a commercial and satisfy that obligation, doing so the advertisor get their commercials in.

agree 100%. it’s ruining the flow of the game as well. so many stops and reviews- the damn games are long enough as is. I almost prefer the old ways.

Despite the two losses by conference teams in the top 25, the Big Ten remained strong with six teams in the Coaches poll top 25 and six in the AP poll. Ohio State (No. 2 Coaches / No. 2 AP) leads the way in the conference while Oregon (No. 3 Coaches / No. 3 AP) and Penn State (No. 5 Coaches / No. 5 AP) jumped up following the boatload of upsets. Indiana (No. 20 Coaches / No.18 AP), Michigan (No. 21 Coaches / No. 24 AP), and Illinois (No. 23 Coaches / 23 AP) remained in the top 25. USC fell out of the coaches and AP polls after their stunning 24-17 loss in Minneapolis.

The Southeastern Conference features the top overall team in Texas, and holds nine of the 25 spots in the coaches poll. The SEC also includes nine in the AP poll. The ACC has four teams included, while the BIg 12 three programs. Boise State is the highest rated non-Power four conference program at No. 22 in the coaches and No. 17 by the Associated Press.

Miami 39-38 California (Oct 5, 2024) Final Score - ESPN

Their "win possibility predictor" graphic is epic.
USF, VaTech, and Cal game shows you just how important the QB is.

Cam Ward is so good he’s basically won all 3 of those games by himself despite Miami and Cristobal trying their best to beef everyone of them.

Miami got the prize of the portal when they signed him. Lucky bastards.

Dude went from no one giving a shit about him when he played at crappy schools like Incarnate Word and Washington State to now being a Heisman front runner and projected 1st round NFL draft pick.

I saw how good Ward was last year when he beat Wisconsin all by himself.

When he hit the portal that was my first choice.

$$$$$$$$$$$ won.

Miami had that super fan Jon Ruiz the founder/CEO majority share holder of that LifeWallet company buying up all kinds of players for Miami with NIL deals.

Dude is under investigation by the feds for all kinds of fraud, he’s being sued by everyone, and LifeWallet is teetering on bankruptcy.

Classic Miami story right there.

Miami probably not going to be buying very many players going forward…

They're going to take a hit for sure, but they've actually got other NIL donors that contribute.  This isn't Oregon/Nike.  They're organized and efficient, they'll still be in the Top 15 or so NIL programs.  Maybe top 10.

That said, although Cam Ward is quite good, the ACC refs are propping up this team.  This is a 3 or 4 loss team in the B1G or SEC.  I'd actually be happy if I were a fan of a team that gets matched up with them in the CFP.

Can Miami use NIL to pay people to go to their home games?

they don't even have home games lol. they play at the Miami Dolphins' Hard Rock Stadium.

they would be better suited just building a 40,000-50,000 near campus stadium than bussing 30 mins to Hard Rock Stadium which seats like 70k and they barely fill half of it up.

while all of this is true, still a dangerous team to play because of him imo. when a QB that good is ON and locked in and in the zone and just operating at a high level he can win his teams games they have no business winning.
