I'm headed down to Casa Grande to have Friendsgiving with the same family going on 12 years now.
She always does some activity with her kids that is cute/deep, we usually throw the football around, etc. She's a friend I taught with on the reservation. She's midwestern and I introduced her to sweet tea, which I'm bringing down, along with lemonade and mutton. The Navajo love their mutton, and her 3 oldest are half Navajo, so we make frybread and do all of that.
I'm feeling pretty burnt out in general, but I'm thankful for a job that allows me a comfortable living and a more-than-usual amount of time off. Being too busy due to a side business getting a lot of orders is a better problem than the alternative.
I'm thankful for you guys, even when we squabble and name-call. That's just part of it, I guess. We are here due to a shared love for college football and the great chili debate. We're probably harder on our own teams than the HC is at times, but it's because we love them so.
So Go Gators! Throw one more lit match into that dumpster fire in Tallahassee. And let's get a bowl and then participate in it!!!! #lowbargoals
