It feels like BC is hanging on by a fingernail but they’re still in it.
They'll need a couple more punt returns, because I don't see them putting two TD drives together.

Trevor Lawrence must have studied tape of Nick Fitzgerald with that slide.

BC challenging PSU for title of heaviest use of pipeid n music.  They also play the exact same song after multiple plays in a row.

I actually love the Big 12 setup.  True tround robin, no divisions.  Possible immediate rematch but that is no more stupid than possibly having the 3rd or 4th best team in your conference in the championship game (which happens with divisions).

A guaranteed rematch before the season even begins is the #1 worst idea, ever.  Worse than Leaders & Legends, worse than sandals & socks, even worse than Rutgers' team this year.

Heyyy, a little nerd outreach:

anybody know where I can find the PASS DEFENSE stats for 1990?
The NCAA website has it from 89-now, except '90 is missing.  Collegefooballreference.com doesn't go back that far.

ASU still controls their destiny to win the Pac-12 South but now has to win 2 in a row on the road to make it happen. Still, not bad for a team picked in the preseason media poll to finish dead last in their division.
I thought I settled my debts that night on the ride home
But I have still got hell to pay

You don't sport a mullet and kick the XP.

On a serious note, say WV beats OU in Morgantown.  What happens with the potential 3-way tie for 2nd place in the BigXII?
I think you mean 3-way tie for first place?
If WVU beats OU, and Texas wins out, then the Longhorns own the tie-breaker over OU due to H2H, and would go to the B12 CCG in a rematch against WVU.  There's certainly no guarantee Texas will win out, but the Longhorns passed a major hurdle winning on the road @TexasTech tonight.  Now there's only ISU at home, and Kansas on the road.
ISU is no gimme, but at home the Longhorns have a good shot at winning.

Edit: Oh wait I think I see where you're coming from.  If WVU wins out they'll have sole possession for first place, so you're asking who would represent 2nd?  ISU and Texas have yet to play so that will add a loss to one or the other.  If ISU wins then OU owns H2H over them and rematches against WVU.  If Texas wins then Texas owns H2H over OU and rematches against WVU.

That's weird. I don't but maybe a bump will help your chances. I know ftbobs's data warehouse site goes back much further than that, but I'm doubting it'll be organized to show a pass defense list per year.

If the Big XII eliminated the CCG, it'd be perfect. If you go true round robin (the gold standard conference set up), you don't need a championship game.
I know why the guys in the office with sport coats want a CCG, but how much would Big XII revenue really drop per school without that game? I bet it's $500-700K max.
Not worth it.

I agree AC and with the increasing likely hood of the Players bolting early, might be the only answer to a reasonable National Champ. It would suck for the OOC over matched opponents hoping for a payday but can't have it both ways

As long as the committee give bonus points for CCG wins, that's their other incentive.  Once it goes to 8 and they all get an auto bid, then I think it makes sense to get rid of it.  You get a team in either way, you have a full round robin, and all you do is risk sending your second best team for a little bit of money.  Depending on the payout structure of the playoff, you might make more money by sending the team more likely to play two or three games.

I really hope the CFP at least temporarily stops at 6 before (assuming it can't be never) expanding to 8.

6 > 8 >> 4.

For 6: Five P5 champs. One at-large. The top two get a bye. That's a double bonus for the value of the regular season.

Perfection.
