Raygun came out with some awesome shirts today leading into this weekend's College Game Day matchup involving An Ohio State University and The University of Iowa.

The groundskeepers at Kinnick Stadium will need to sprinkle a lot of fairy dust on Duke Slater Field before Saturday, and sprinkle much more of it again Saturday morning, or Iowa will be blown out.

I am not saying an Iowa win is impossible, it is just inconceivable; just as inconceivable Iowa would defeat Michigan at the end of the third quarter in Week #3 -- and it was inconceivable to anyone who watched that game up until then.

As an Iowa fan,  I have to admit the Ohio St WR"s are scary.   

Jeremiah Smith is pretty much unstoppable.  Amazing what he has already accomplished at such a young age.

Iowa plays great defense, especially in Kinnick, but don't know if they can hold the Buckeyes under 30

Been quite a while since I looked up the stat, but I think the last time Iowa beat Ohio State and Michigan in the same season was 1962.

Part of the problem is syncing up schedules when Iowa is good with years that Iowa plays both Ohio St and Michigan, and even in those years, there still is only about a 1 in 4 chance Iowa wins both games.

The funny thing is since 1962,  iowa has gone undefeated in conference play at least twice. In 2002 Iowa went 8-0 and did beat Mich, Penn St,  and Mich St.  But did not play Ohio St. 

 In 2015 Iowa went 8-0 and did beat ranked Wisc and NW.   But Iowa did not play Ohio St, Mich,  Penn St or Mich St in the 2015 regular season.  Iowa did end up facing Mich St in the Big Ten CCG,  losing to MSU 16-13.  So maybe that does not count as going undefeated.

Still missing Nebraska/Oklahoma settling things every year in your elite 8? Well at least you got 1/2 a one in the Big 12. Or so my Michigan coorespondants tell me :dance:

The betting sites have it about right with a 13-point Ohio State win.

I am comparing Ohio State to Michigan. I think the QBs are close to par with each other.

Ohio State has receivers that are not duplicated by Michigan.

Michigan is 7th in defensive in YPG; Iowa is 10th in defensive YPG, and Ohio State is 27th in defensive YPG, one spot behind Iowa State which stymied Iowa's offense in Kinnick Stadium a few weeks ago. I think the defensive comparison alone between Ohio State, Michigan, and Iowa about sums it up when predicting a winner for this weekend's game involving Ohio State and Iowa.

Michigan: 8 penalties per game average; Ohio State: 5.75 penalties per game average; Iowa 5.75 penalties per game average.

I cannot see a scenario where An Ohio State State University does not prevail upon Iowa this coming Saturday.

The fact College Game Day is broadcasting from Iowa City is a bad omen. The only times College Game Day broadcasted from Iowa City, the Hawkeyes were defeated, and both times it was Ohio State delivering the licking.
