shaping up to be the biggest recruiting weekend of the year for Michigan. They are going to have tons of targets there, namely their #1 target in the 2022 class, 5* CB Domani Jackson. Kid set the state record in California in the 100m with a 10.25. 6-1, 185 genetic freak that was born to play CB. My god just the thought of pairing him with Michigan commit 5* CB Will Johnson who is 6'2.5, 190 and the son of a former Michigan/NFL DB- is beyond comprehension. These guys are both plug and play corners, done in 3 years and off to the 1st round of the NFL Draft types of talents. Michigan hasn't had a 1st round CB since Leon Hall. It's been a looooong time.

it's going to suck to see him go, wish he could stay 1 more year but he's off to the top 5 of the NFL draft. he was a back-up as a true frosh on a veteran DL that had players like Winovich and Gary, but his soph year he was very productive with TFL's and pressures- just didn't get high sack #'s. Obviously he didn't play and missed his enitre JR with the ankle injury + COVID shortened season. This year as a senior he's been as dominant a defensive player as I've ever seen at Michigan not named Woodson. Just wish had one more year to watch- because it's a joy to watch this guy play football. Wish every player on Michigan's team played as hard as this kid does. He really just plays his ass off and never quits.

Not one of OSU's WR's were a finalist for the Biletnikoff. Olave should've been. Easily. Aidan Hutchinson not a finalist for the Bednarik either.

who votes for these things? seriously.

I feel like this game used to be played on the Rivalry Weekend #1, the Saturday before Thanksgiving.  Is that right or am I crazy?

(both could be true)

For JH, this one is important obviously, a potential CFP spot versus 10-2 and a NY6 bowl game, both of which are pretty solid options.  A blow out loss could hurt, but I think his coaching seat is only middlin' warm either way.

Wisconsin of course was 1-3 early in the year.  Pretty amazing turnaround, I wouldn't sleep on them in the CG.

That could throw a wrench.

it's important for HArbaugh because he really needs a win in the rivalry and he has a dern good team.  The quality level team it takes to get a win over the Buckeyes.  The Wolverines could certainly take even a small step back next season with kids leaving for the NFL and/or other factors.  The Buckeyes could possibly be even better next season.  They are a young team.  So the gap could widen.

this is all true. Jim is 0-5 in this game, would've been 0-6 if not for COVID. He needs a win in this game more than he's ever needed a win in any game he's ever coached. Maybe moreso than when he coached in the Super Bowl vs his brother.

That's why I'm afraid for Michigan. His butthole will pucker up and he won't coach the game loose and just let 'er rip. He's going to get super tight and make mistakes because of the anxiety/pressure/nerves imo. Seen him do it one too many times in games nowhere near as big or important as this one.

True.

Big Ten football was almost always over with the week before Thanksgiving, except in years where there were only 11 weeks between Labor Day and Thanksgiving. Or you were playing a 12th game in Hawaii. I rather liked that.

Hassan Haskins is easily my favorite RB at Michigan since Mike Hart. Guy is a warrior and a complete back who blocks his ass off.
