#4 Michigan (6-0, 3-0) at Indiana (3-3, 1-2) Postgame
« on: October 03, 2022, 08:06:35 AM »
The game is at Noon EDT this Saturday and on Fox.  Michigan is favored by 21.5 points in this game.  Indiana has given Michigan some trouble recently, beating the Wolverines the last time they played in Bloomington 21-38.  So, Michigan better not look past the Hoosiers and get trapped with Penn State on the slate Oct. 15th.  Michigan players potentially out due to injury include TE All, backup QB McNamare, WR Wilson, and LB Hill-Green.

Michigan by as many points as they want. The right side of the Hoosier O-line is a turnstile. I just hope the IU QBs are able to walk out of the stadium after the game.

would love to see Michigan work in Andrel Anthony and Donovan Edwards into the passing game this game and really try to get it clicking before they have to take on Penn State at home. JJ made a big jump in Week 1 to Week 2 of B1G play, I was impressed how he went on the road into a hostile environment vs a very good defense and didn't try to force passes or play that hero-ball crap and run around behind the LOS unnecessarily thinking he has to make every play some amazing play like he did vs Maryland the week before. He passed the test in my eyes- JJ didn't put the ball in harms way vs Iowa at all- and that's a defense that THRIVES on QB mistakes. He did have the one fumble- but on rewatch I can't blame him 100% for that play- Trente Jones the new starting RT absolutely played like horseshit on that play- he tried to go inside and double team an Iowa DT with Zinter and he completely left the Iowa edge rusher unblocked and gave him a free hit on the QB- and that dude ran full speed, completely unblocked and absolutely blew up JJ. Can't do that. Jones has been having pass protection gaffes all season to be honest- and if he doesn't clean that up he needs to hit the bench.

JJ leads the nation in completion percentage at 78.5%, he's 5th in the nation in yards per attempt, he's 5th in the nation in NFL QB Rating at 186.9, and he's 12th in the nation in ESPN QBR. He worked on not playing hero ball and protecting the ball week 1 to week 2. Now he's got to work on hitting his go routes- he's missed 4 that were surefire TD's where his WR's just burnt the DBs crispy on go routes and were wide open- 3 vs Maryland and 1 vs Iowa. He cleans that aspect of his game up and starts getting the timing down with his receivers their offense will go to the next level.

Michigan has yet to scratch the surface of where this offense can go. JJ needs to continue to improve and start connecting on his go routes and they need to work Andrel Anthony and Donovan Edwards into the passing game and get starting TE Erick All back and this offense could really just take off into the stratosphere.

those go deep routes have an affect on the defense even if JJ doesn't connect

when the D coaches and the safeties see that WR behind them and open, it puts the fear of God in them all.

true. but if he connects on just 50% of those- those games probably turn into blowouts. He can't keep going 0-fer on those. He's going to have to start connecting on around half of them if you want to beat the better teams...aka PSU/OSU.

Does everyone here think Harbaugh is probably the best offensive mind in all of football?

Lolwut? You back on the sauce grandpa? Tell ya what he’s no Kirby Smart when it comes to offense. Sheesh that guy is good.

The CTE scatterbrained Autistic Booger Eater is god awful when it comes to offensive football. He’s offensive to offense.

Ryan Day is the best offensive mind in college football. And I don’t think it’s particularly close. Lincoln Riley probably 2nd and Sark 3rd.

Trolling MDot21?
can't troll a troll brah.

And frankly, I don't even know where gramps is getting off on that...I've been a harsh Harbaugh critic for oh-ever.

ANYTHING that Michigan will EVER accomplish on offense in Harbaugh's entire tenure will be in spite of him- not because of him. Dude is an aspergers booger eating freak from outer-space who has zero clue when it comes to modern offense. Less than zero actually. He's Bo 2.0- except Bo probably didn't have CTE and eat his own Boogers.

don't know about that. he's definitely the #1 weirdo in CFB. don't think that one is particularly close. Kirby seems like the #1 dildo in CFB though. Not sure that one is close either.

Lmao. I will say...he looks like Bill Walsh compared to the Ferentz fam. It's a crime against humanity- the offenses that the Ferentz' make the great people of Iowa have to watch.
