idk who made this, but I'm here for it. Mike Sainistril went from being undrafted at WR and switching to play defense at the nickelback position and become a potential legit NFL draft pick. Kid never played defense, switched this spring and in his first year playing defense just playing way better than anyone could've possibly expected. So glad he's said he's going to comeback in '23. Will Johnson who was their best CB as a true frosh at one of the outside CB spots and Sainistril at the nickel gives me hope this secondary can be reallllly good in '23.

They asked all 4 CFP QBs what their ultimate Christmas gift would be. JJ McCarthy said peace on Earth. 🤮 . Cue the SNL character "the girl you wish you hadn't started talking to at the party"

JJ actually seems like a great kid. He's donated a lot of his NIL money to UofM children's hospital. I think he's donated like $50k. He's into yoga and transcendental meditation. What 19 year old is into that stuff or would donate $50k to a childrens hospital? Different type of cat. Most 19 year olds in his position would be out partying, chasing ass, spending their NIL money on chains and rides and designer clothes.

Michigan arrived in Arizona and some of the 2023 class early enrollees have traveled with the team and have participated in the bowl practices. Apparently this is a new rule. Kind of cool and let's the early enrollees get ahead of the curve even sooner.

The names all the boards/insiders keep buzzing about are 4* CB Jyaire Hill (6'1, 170) and 3* CB Cameron Calhoun (6', 170). Both these guys are already looking the part apparently. I thought Hill was going to wind up starting as a true frosh by the end of the year next year just like Will Johnson did. Looks like he's ahead of the curve. Michigan's best CB by far in '22 was a true frosh Will Johnson, their safety trio of Rod Moore, Makari Paige, & RJ Moten all return, nickelback Mike Sainistril has already said he's coming back for his 5th year, and we haven't even seen '22 top 100 'croots CB/Nickel Zeke Berry and S Keon Sabb yet. If DJ Turner comes back for his 5th year at CB, they'll be loaded with talent, experience, and depth in the secondary.

Noticing quite a few "TCU doesn't even belong on the field" comments which I definitely recall hearing quite a lot of before the 2011 Rose Bowl.

I'm not saying TCU will win. But they absolutely can win. Michigan is the rightful favorite in this one but a TCU win shouldn't be that shocking either.
I thought I settled my debts that night on the ride home
But I have still got hell to pay

Good to see you, SDF.

I believe the appropriate commentary here on the CFB51 B1G forum is...

There's NO WAY TCU can beat the mighty all-powerful B1G team.

I've gotten rusty in my absence.

There is absolutely NO WAY that TCU even hangs with the Wolverines for a single quarter let alone 4 of them.

Michigan sophomore WR Andrel Anthony will be playing, after being limited in practice and recovering from an ankle injury apparently suffered toward the end of the regular season. He's Michigan's most talented WR imo. Really popped/flashed as a true frosh in moments last year. Has yet to do much of anything this year. He is one that could have a breakout game in the playoff. He's certainly very capable.

TCU DB puts foot in mouth. Gives plenty of bulletin board material to a team that's already hungry...

And dude...your team is not faster than Ohio State. Lol.

I'll just go ahead and state the obvious-- if Michigan needs some silly "bulletin board material" to get up for this game, then they're in deep trouble.

Oh I don't think they need any bulletin board material. But it does strike me as stupid for any player to pop off at the mouth 48 hrs before kickoff. That Michigan team is definitely on a mission after their epic fail in the semis last year. When the game was over and while most of that team had went off to the locker room, JJ McCarthy, Blake Corum, Donovan Edwards, and Andrel Anthony all stood on the field in full uniforms & pads and watched as the confetti was falling and Georgia was celebrating their victory in the semis. Blake Corum was shouting to the crowd top of his lungs, I promise you we'll be back next year. He's lived up to that promise. They didn't make it back all this way to not be ready to play. They've handled business all year, don't expect them to just stop going so close to the finish line.

Football "predictions" and "analysis" is more than a cottage industry.  And, I have yet to find an "expert" who can predict outcomes consistently.  So, I mostly ignore them.  A few can point to tendencies, or maybe strengths and weaknesses, fine, but actual outcomes?  I find that simply too random in competitive games, by that I mean where the line is less than say 8 points.  If someone can consistently beat "the line", they should bet, not prognosticate.

It's akin to the "financial/investing experts" on business sites.  They say this and that and often are wrong, they seem no more right than random chance.  Managed mutual funds often trail relevant market averages, and those who beat it one year don't the next.

It doesn't take very many random events to alter game outcomes.
