I vaguely remeber the OG Michelob bottle shape, but I think I was too young to ever have one.

I’d guess the fickle finger of fate will induce a change.

Luke is out of his element just no excuse for today.

Mentioned this on the Week 9 thread, but I'll reiterate here.  Because I hate throwing in the towel.  With about 1:30 to go in the 3rd, Badgers had 4th and 7 and punted, virtually ensuring they wouldn't get the ball back until the 4th quarter.  The field position wasn't favorable, neither was the down and distance.  But the clock there dictates you gotta go.  Maybe something insane happens and you have the rare 28 pt quarter explosion.  If you can even manage a FG in that final 1:30 of the 3rd, it's at least achievable, no matter how unlikely.  But you're not going to score 30 pts in a quarter.  You're not.  I don't know if even Fickell realized it, but he was conceding.  All punting did was try to make sure it didn't get uglier.

Screw that.  It was already ugly.  There comes a point where it can't meaningfully get any worse.  Go try to win the damn game.  Show some fight.  Try to score.  Do something.  I hate just giving up.

I'm convinced that uke ickel is an OSU plant to make sure OSU doesn't have competition in the conference.

And every other coach in the conference, with the exception of Cigs.

I'm convinced the Badgers shyt themselves by firing 2 Time Big Ten Coach of the Year Paul Chryst. Should have left well enough alone

The game passed him by. He didn't like recruiting and would be lost in the NIL world.

I honestly think he wanted to be fired.

I was pretty impressed with the Florida defense playing hard even after going down 24-0 mostly on their offense's mistakes.  They were still going at it late in the game, UGA only scored 3 points in the second half.

I think that's a good sign for UF, in contrast perhaps with UW.

Yeah, they played hard, but the offense was trying to find reverse on a Soviet tank.  Florida had Georgia's offense looking like Wisconsin's late into the 4th, with UGA only having like 59 passing yards.  A scoop-and-score and multiple short fields got UGA up on the scoreboard enough they didn't have to take any risks.
They were Saban's Bama offense, pre-Tua.

Look at the bright side fellas. Wisconsin was 7-points better against Iowa this year, than last year. Wisconsin is definitely improved despite the act of laying a goose egg yesterday. The administration at Wisconsin said it was going to put more money into players; I think that is borne out. It was borne out in the Southern Cal game, a quality win. This is a week-to-week sport, and there have been several upsets this year because the Big Ten and SEC are getting the top players, and after emotional wins, defeats to a lower ranked team may follow; after an emotional loss, a win may follow against a higher ranked team.

Considering that Wisconsin's remaining schedule is Rutgers, @Maryland, @Purdue, and Minnesota, Wisconsin will finish with three more wins, and an 8-4 record; 6-3 in the Big Ten.

Iowa has a much more challenging remaining schedule. The Hawkeyes have @Northwestern, Purdue, @Illinois, and Nebraska. Iowa will have three more wins and go 9-3; and 6-3.

8-4 against this schedule with this payroll is not success. And there’s another loss potentially lurking in there.

9-3 is also still possible, particularly if the remaining teams on Minnesota’s schedule beat the Goophers up.

But healthy Minnesota appears better than Wisconsin, and PJ gets the boys up for that game.

I just wonder in this NIL/portal-era parity we seem to be entering if that idea is still sound.  When everything done to the game is to make it more like the NFL, we're less likely to get 10-2, 11-1 teams.

Iowa is doing more with much less. So is Minnesota.

To be even with or lower than those programs was not the goal of the Fickell hire.
