#24 Wisconsin (3-1, 5-2) at Northwestern (4-1, 4-3) Game Week
« on: October 22, 2018, 04:37:20 PM »
So, in 2016 I decided to not go to this game, and it was the first time since 1999 that UW came out of there with a win. I'm not going to this one either. Screw it. Evanston is a house of horrors for the Badgers. Seems like the Cats aren't what they normally are, after struggling with Rutger(s) last weekend. Or were they thinking about the Badgers? Hmmm...

Anyway, there's this crap again:

The dood holding this card needs a manicure really badly.

No doods need manicures. Period.

And yeah, who knows what to make of this game. The Badgers' defense isn't so good at stopping people, but Northwestern only put up 18 against Rutgers. The Badgers won't be held to 18.

I think Wisconsin takes another one in Evanston. It's been bad, but it's not Ann Arbor.

Will not count on a win there until UW is ahead with the clock reading 0:00 (Or up by a million)

Me too.

As for manicures (and pedicures), don't knock it if you haven't tried it. There is no reason for women to have that pleasure all to themselves.

For NU:

A few things to note:

The running back position appears to be a four-headed monster. Northwestern is not announcing which of Solomon Vault, Isaiah Bowser, Drake Anderson, or Chad Hanaoka will start on Saturday. Vault did not make the trip to New Jersey last weekend and Bowser rushed for 108 yards and two touchdowns in his stead. John Moten IV, who left the Nebraska game with an apparent injury, is not listed on the depth chart.

Nate Hall, Nathan Fox, and Greg Newsome II are all off the two-deep. All three missed Northwestern’s win over Rutgers.

J.B. Butler is back at left guard after Nik Urban was listed as the starter last week. Butler or Sam Gerak will start there, and Urban is listed as the backup center.

The starting D line for UW coming out of Spring was Garrett Rand, Olive Sagapolu and Iasiah Loudermilk. None of them will play Saturday. Instead, RSF Kayden Lyles (converted to DE in fall camp), TF Bryson Williams and RSF Matt Henningsen (walk-on) will start.

Hopefully they can mount some sort of pass rush and hold up against the run.

3/4 of the starting secondary is probably out (again) too. We'll see, but it's not looking too gouda.

This is a craaaazy season for the West. I still believe UW has the most talent by a healthy margin. But ...

Ohio State has the most talent outside of Tuscaloosa. Things happen.

Harrel and Nelson official out in the DB parade. Next man up. And then there's this:

WRN reported on Thursday afternoon that Alex Hornibrook could miss Saturday's game against Northwestern with a concussion. Jack Coan would be in line for his first career start.
Bill Scott tweeted on Thursday shortly after noon that Hornibrook was not listed on the injury report on Thursday, but may not be cleared in time to play on Saturday at Northwestern.
Jack Coan has played in three games in his Badgers career, completing all five passes he's thrown for 36 yards.
No official announcement has been made by the University.

This is usually the Potrykus special. We’ll see what he reports.
If true, we get to see the backup thing and not have a redshirt burned just yet.
