sounds like Peters had a head injury. Shoulder is ok. Thought for sure that left collarbone he landed on was broken. That would've been really bad because it would've meant he'd miss bowl practices and it could've potentially maybe even affected him in spring practices, and those series of practices are going to be huge for his development going into his sophomore year.
Never know with head/concussion injuries- Peters could play next week against Ohio State if he clears concussion protocol. I don't think I risk it though and push him back. Not with that lack of pass protection. Put O'Korn on a tight leash and if he starts to really blow chunks and turn it over in droves give Malzone a shot.
Makes zero sense to rush Peters back or burn McCaffrey's redshirt- that Offensive line is offensive in pass protection and could get one of those two hurt. It's not just the line though, it's the RB's and TE's as well. They don't know who the F to identify to block and mix shit up and miss assignments so much it's frightening. I have never seen an offensive line let another team have so many free rushers and blow so many passing assignments. That to me screams coaching. These guys are not on the same page and being coached very well in pass protection.
