Great game.    So many twists and turns.  When Nebraska went on that long drive in the 4Q, it just had that epic feel to it, like it was going to be one of those historic TD drives fans remember forever, but then it stalled and Nebraska missed the FG.

After that momentum switched and Illinois dominated in overtime.  I felt bad for Fearless.  It really felt like Nebraska was ready to turn a corner,,  but not yet, I guess.

I think if replay would have never overturned that Neb TD in 2Q,  then Neb would have pulled away and won the the game easily.

But you got give the fighting Bert's some credit.  They kept finding ways to fight back and stay in the game.   Illinois looks like a contender this year.

my guess this morning is that both teams are around #20 in the nation ranking worthy

solid teams but nothing great

I haven't looked at the schedule
Kansas and Nebraska aren't top 15 teams

You may have a point.  We don't really know yet if any of these teams are any good.

I remember back in 2021,  Iowa rose to #2 in the country, early in the season, after Iowa beat 3 ranked teams, Indiana,  Iowa St, and Penn St.   Well by the end of the season none of those teams were ranked,  and Iowa went 4-4 in it's last 8 games after a 6-0 start.

Only time will tell if any of these early season top 25 teams are any good.
