Kansas could very well be 1-3 after playing WVU this week
And Colorado could be 2-2 after playing Baylor this week.

In honor of Nebraska football's 400th consecutive sellout of Memorial Stadium, here are 40 stats and facts about the Streak:

If Friday's attendance is 86,218, the combined attendance for the first 400 games of the Sellout Streak will be exactly 31,000,000. The combined attendance after Sellout 399 sits at 30,913,782. Nebraska has averaged 86,681 since the start of the 2022 season, so they’ll definitely surpass 31 million.

Nebraska's home record during the Sellout Streak is 324-75 (.812).

Although ties were possible from 1962 through 1996, there were zero ties during Sellout Streak games.

There has only been one 1-point loss during the Streak. Sellout 389 (Wisconsin, 2022)

Nebraska has played on Black Friday 20 times during the Streak era. Sellout 400 (Illinois, 2024) is the first Friday game played outside of November.

As of the 400th sellout, the Sellout Streak will have been active for 22,603 days.
There have been 12 different U.S. Presidents in office during the course of the Streak, starting with John F. Kennedy. Sellout 8 (Oklahoma, 1963) was played - with Bobby Kennedy's blessing - the day after JFK was assassinated.

The largest crowd to attend a game during the Streak was 91,585 for Sellout 336 (Miami, 2014).
The smallest crowd during the Streak was 34,329 at Sellout 2 (Oklahoma State, 1962).

Sellout 1 (Missouri, 1962) was broadcast on CBS. A total of 226 Streak games have been televised, streamed, or made available on pay per view.
The last Sellout Streak game to NOT be televised was Sellout 288 (Texas A&M, 2007).

Including Sellout 400 (Illinois, 2024) Nebraska has been ranked for 284 of the 400 sellouts (71%). The Huskers were in the Top 5 for 128 sellout streak games (32%), including 17 straight games: Sellouts 193 (Missouri, 1993) through 209 (Michigan State, 1996).

In Streak games, both teams have been ranked 55 times. The first was Sellout 8 (Oklahoma, 1963). Prior to the Sellout 400, the last ranked-on-ranked Streak game was Sellout 328 (UCLA, 2013). Nebraska's last ranked-on-ranked home win was Sellout 316 (Michigan State, 2011).

Sellout 143 (Florida State, 1986) was the first night game - ever - at Memorial Stadium.  Nebraska is 52-10 (.839) under the lights at home.
In the first 399 games of the Sellout Streak, Nebraska outscored their opponents by a combined score of 14,178 to 6,092. That is an average score of 35-15.

Bryant, who leads Illinois with 235 receiving yards and four touchdowns this season, has contributed to a new community, far from home. He was named a team captain last month, as he prepared for his third season as a starter.

The 6-foot-3 Bryant received 33 scholarship offers in high school, including all the in-state schools, except the one he truly wanted, Florida, where both of his parents attended. Bryant committed to Illinois in June 2020, essentially sight unseen, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.

But in mid-December, just before the end of a delayed and shortened season, Illinois fired coach Lovie Smith. The first high school signing day was just three days away. Wide receivers coach Andrew Hayes-Stoker called Bryant and encouraged him to sign anyway, which he did. Three days later, Illinois hired Bret Bielema to replace Smith.

When Bryant finally visited Champaign, there was some confusion.

"I flew in, thinking the University of Illinois was in Chicago," Bryant said. "I get off the plane, we get in an Uber, they're taking us to the dorm, and I'm just waiting to see the big skyline. And I see corn field after corn field. I was like, 'There's no way,' but I adapted to where I was. Great college town."

Kansas could very well be 1-3 after playing WVU this week
Then the Illini would have beaten them thrice. O0

College football on Friday nights is unnatural.  I'll be at a high school football game tonight, as God intended.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A former Husker is returning Friday night for a historic milestone at Memorial Stadium.

Noel Martin, a member of the 1962 Huskers, played a pivotal role in the game that started Nebraska’s sellout streak.

Tonight, Martin will be surrounded by his family as the Huskers celebrate the 400th consecutive sellout at Memorial Stadium.

“When you fill a stadium with over 90,000 people, that tells you a lot,” he said.

Martin’s journey to Nebraska started on a farm in rural Kansas.

He remembers driving ten miles every morning to football practice before heading back to the farm and working until dusk.

Martin says the hard work paid off once he made it to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

On a chilly day in November, Nebraska’s sellout streak began with a game against Missouri.  Martin’s pick-six was the first point scored in that game.

“I had a big experience when I intercepted that pass and ran 88 yards,” he said.

Martin said it was a “whole other world back then,” but the Husker spirit is alive and well in Memorial Stadium over six decades later.

“You can’t believe what you’re looking at, it’s tremendous,” he said. “We were here a few weeks ago and it was tremendous, the noise, the people getting involved, it was just beautiful.”
