I just watched the game on BTN's 60 minutes. Both teams have very talented players. Both teams are mistake-ridden, which is holding them back. I didn't take notes along the way so I have no details to offer. This was my impression as the game progressed, and it could have gone Nebraska's way just as easily, but then Nebraska has been famous for self-destructing toward the end of close games for years.

it wasn't that close.  Huskers were very lucky to be within a score at the end

it was a mismatch in the trenches

yeah, this.

10 of Nebraska's 27 points came at the hands of extreme idiocy on Michigan's coaching staff/players part. How Biff Poggi doesn't call a TO there with 18 seconds left in the half to force a punt is beyond me. Hail Mary attempt doesn't happen if he just calls the fucking TO.

Brandyn Hillman taunts Nebraska sideline after stopping them cold on 4th and 14 and forces a punt- instead they get an automatic first down and 15 yard penalty and kick a FG out of that drive- which was stopped dead. Thanks a lot Hillman- shit for brains. How about you just shut the fuck up and go to the sideline dipshit? It amazes me that Biff Poggi kept him in the game. His ass should've been on the bench and someone should've read the riot act to him and screamed like a maniac an inch away from his face Brian Kelly style. All that should've happened to him- kid should also be just terrorized/killed in practice- made an example of- and benched the next game as well. Hell the coaches shouldn't just punish him but the entire defense- make the entire defense run suicides until they vomit and tell them you can thank your buddy Brandyn Hillman for this- next time one of you guys want to be a fucking jerkoff on the field in the games and cost the team and want to try that shit- remember this.

Nebraska's last drive with a couple mins left in the game where they got the TD as well was a lot of empty calorie passing yards- Michigan played prevent and had their corners 15 yards off WR's and safeties 35 yards deep.

Michigan controlled that entire game in the trenches. Their front 7 basically hit Dylan Raiola or pressured him whenever they wanted and completely shut down Nebraska's run game. Their o-line was opening up gaping holes you could drive a mack truck through and were doing that basically all game long. If Michigan's WR's didn't suck so much ass the game wouldn't have been as close as it was imo. There were at least 5-6 drops. One in the end zone to #9 Butterfingers Goodwin and then there was a really sick throw on the sideline that Mr. Couldn't Even Get on the Field at Indiana #1 McCulley couldn't get a foot down in bounds on.

#9 Butterfingers Goodwin has to hit the bench. Dropped two passes that hit him in both hands. One would've been a TD. Both really nice throws from Underwood. Semaj also dropped two that hit him in both hands. WR's continue to suck.

Nebraska's oline got eaten up all day, but even so they could have won if they didn't turn the first two possessions and the fourth quarter shoulda been touchdown into a combined three points. Also if their safeties were paying attention they would have had a much better day defensively.

the 4th QTR shoulda been touchdown should've been called back anyway if buddy did get his foot in bounds....Jaishawn Barhman absolutely smoked Nebraska OT and was egregiously held.

calling my shot right now....future 1s rd pick next draft. kid was a really good ILB. turns out he's a revelation at EDGE. freakish speed to power and first step explosiveness in a 6'3, 245 lbs frame. kid is a violent heat seeking missile.

I hope you're right and the Husker tackles don't SUCK as badly as they looked Saturday

Jaishawn Barham and Derrick Moore are experienced vets (both seniors) and future NFL draft pick EDGE rushers. tough ask for young inexperienced tackles to stop. Nebs probably not as bad as they looked- and probably not going to face a pair that ferocious the rest of their schedule.

per NFL draft guru Todd McShay (link: starts at 1 hr 17 min mark) Michigan defense has 6 seniors that have high draft grades from the NFL (top 3 rounds): Derrick Moore, Jaishawn Barham, Rod Moore, Rayshaun Benny, Ernest Hausmann, and TJ Guy. And all 5 of their highly graded front 7 guys showed up vs Nebraska.
