100% this.

I'm paying less attention to Spring practice reports than I normally do, and I'm dreading the preseason write ups in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that glow over all the talent and potential the team has going into a much softer schedule than the last two years.

Don't care.

Win games.
I feel like spring and preseason practice are their own magic form of theater. But no one comes back from them and says “these guys are bums.”

I go in hoping for the best. And I’m happy they have a few early body bags and 3-4 weeks before the existential dread hits.

Week 1 is not a body bag, although it would be nice.

Well, that’s a game that feels to me like it could be mostly upside.

if they are competitive, and the quarterback doesn’t get hurt, you don’t feel bad coming out of it.

That sounds like a Ruhl problem to me.

And the UNL thread is somewhere other than here!
