Don't recall which particular false start you're referring to, but whatever I thought about it, the Chiefs had plenty of chances to win the game and just didn't.  Everything about the management of the ending was a clinic in what not to do.

Looked like LSU vs. Kentucky.  Just do ONE of around ten-to-a-dozen things right, and you win.  Just don't derp them all.  But......

Cowboys yesterday goes in the same category.

They won the game, if that flag stays in the pocket.

But, sure keeps things interesting for the next 9-10 games for the Division and Playoff seedings.

But, props to Denver for being so bad for so long in many of their games, and pulling them out in the end.

I wouldn't call it, but also, I'd say to the OL try not to do stuff like that.  Don't give trigger-happy refs a reason.

Cowboys just epically crapped the bed.

Again.

Cowboys should fire defensive coordinator Christian Parker already. Guy is in way over his head with his defenses collapsing late and costing the Cowboys inexcusable losses. First they blew their game late Vs Baltimore in Rio. Two weeks later another poor performance Vs Tampa. And yesterday was the worst with the Cowboys losing after maintaining two possession leads for most of the game. The Cowboys went up 27-17 with 6:53 left in the 4th and I knew they were going to make things as difficult as possible when they let Arizona, whose offense had gone nowhere all game, march right down the field to trim the lead to 27-24.

Well, the Cowboys derp was way higher on the scale, imo, given the way they lost, at home, to the Cardinals; whereas the Chiefs lost a nail biter on the road, to a division rival that played in the AFC championship game last year and is (somehow) 6-2 this season.

The Chefs--IF they fix their O-line woes (3-non starters playing) and get another WR as a deep threat to replace Thornton, are absolutely contenders.  Pretty competitive as is.  10 games to go.

The parity in the League, as well as giving the best teams freaking killer schedules, is going to lead to teams with 10-7-esque regular season teams becoming SB Champions going forward.

All that said, my teams' trips to Colorado were pretty aggravating this Halloween weekend.  Cats lose in OT to Neon Deion, too.

I would like an honest review and opinion on that false start.  Dude was looking in the backfield, and turned back to set.
it was an OK call.  Could have gone either way.
Dude did more than just turn and look.  Not much, but he twitched a little bit.

Yeah.  Imagine the whining if it hadn't been called.  They are going to call every little thing against KC to attempt to shut people up.

The one that really bugged me--and I can't find a clip--was the freaking tackle Jack Cochrane made on a regular play.

Lowered his head to meet the lowered head of the runner, their helmets hit, and it was called unnecessary roughness, adding 15 yards to the play.

They are outlawing tackling in football.  Guess the rules are going to mandate tackling sternum first, and give a gentle hug.  Suppose if he had went for it standing up, they would have called it on the offense, like they did to Skattebo recently?

I see what you're saying, but they're equally derpy in that the game flow was much the same, as was the difference in quality.  The Cardinals are a worse team than Denver, but so is Dallas worse than Kansas City.  And both the Chiefs and Cowboys controlled the game pretty comfortably until the end when the defenses decided, hey, you know what would be cool, is to let offenses score every possession at the end, while we forget how to pick up first downs.

I don't hate Bo Nix, but I hate that the world thinks he's a decent QB, and I hate that the Chiefs made him look like one at the end.  Spags was in NOLA for a long time, trust me, I've seen this movie a lot before.....throw the house, oops, I left nobody back and got toasted by a blitz-beater again, wonder why I never learn.  KC is gonna ultimately live and die by the offense as long as he's the DC, no matter what numbers or stats commentators come up with to make it sound like he's good at his job.  Drew Brees can tell you.  Payton of all people knows what's coming from Spags at the end of a game, and damned if he didn't count on it, see it, pounce, and make Nix look like a clutch, Brady-esque QB.

I get not being happy about the non-TD at the end that got ruined by an iffy false start, but by then they were already in a spot they shouldn't have been in.

Same story with the Cowboys, except neither they nor AZ are as good as Chiefs/Broncos.  It is weird that the Cowboys haven't beaten the Cards in Dallas in over 20 years, and barely have beaten them anywhere.  Jerry Jones leading that organization is basically like being headed up by Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow.

I'd take Bo in Minnesoota and so would most teams.............

Bo Nix has been in the NFL for three seasons
• Rookie Season (2024): Started all 17 regular-season games, threw for 3,775 yards and 29 touchdowns, and led Denver to a playoff berth.
• Second Season (2025): Led the Broncos to the AFC's top seed with a 14–3 record before suffering an ankle injury in January 2026.
• Third Season (2026): Currently in his 2026 campaign as Denver's starting quarterback, recently breaking NFL records for early-career comebacks and game-winning drives.

• Rushing Contributions: In addition to his passing statistics, Nix has established himself as a prominent dual-threat asset, contributing 900 rushing yards and 11 rushing touchdowns on 207 career attempts.

• Milestones: He is only the third quarterback in NFL history to register at least 25 passing touchdowns and 3,500 passing yards in each of his first two professional seasons.
