I'm kind of rooting for the White Sox. A dramatic turnaround within 2 years, building from within, gives other small market fans hope.
However, maybe I should rethink that, since they are in the AL Central. Already have a couple of those teams that somehow keep winning and rebuilding.
The Royals pitching staff was historically bad, mostly due to catestrophic injury, but also lot of underperforming individuals from just last year. So, how have they addressed that so far? Reassign the hitting coach within the organization.
Watched the first few innings of Yankees/Red Sox. Tolle pitched in college for Wichita State, had never even seen him. Cam Schlittler is a f'ing beast. A starter coming out and throwing 101. Getting more common in MLB, which is why I maintain pitching is way better than it was 20 years ago, combined with a change in philosophy to hit homers or strike out (see the White Sox player that set an MLB record for K's), and the batting averages in MLB tanking.
