the question is, does Michigan have interest in him? if it was 10 years ago, sure. guy is about to be 67 however. how many years does he really have left in the tank to go full throttle? hell of a coach, but pushing 70.

I dunno... I don't think it would be a bad idea for Michigan to get a known commodity; someone who can be a stable force and right the ship after everything over the past 5 years. Even if they know he's probably only a 5-year caretaker coach.

you may be right.

I'd take DeBoer in a second but don't believe that is realistic and have questions about his defenses.

I tend to think Dillingham or Minter are the best options. throw boatloads of cash at both, make them each say no. then go to Wittingham as a last resort.

yeah, they are called retards.

Jesse Minter is probably THE premier young and up and coming coach in the entire NFL right now. he will have his pick of the litter for 2026 NFL HC jobs. dude is so good at DC'ing a defense it's disgusting. I would kill for him right now to be the HC at Michigan.

He's my dream hire.. Personally i doubt he'd go to Michigan with everything that happened. The dude is a beast and there's going to be way too many clowns that try to downplay his success and bring up Stallions. If i'm in his shoes, I keep making my success blatant in the NFL and quietly let the results do the talking.

Plus, unlike someone like Harbaugh, he really has zero ties to Michigan. 2 years there as DC. That's it.

If he knows walking into Ann Arbor is going to be a hornet's nest where he's going to be forced to carry baggage that's not really his--after all, Stalions' scheme predated his arrival 2022--I don't know why he'd take the job. He'd be smarter to wait until something better (like the right NFL HC opp) comes along.
