I'm not saying Mac is right in any sense.

He should be fired, and not just because of football. He's just not a good AD.

Neither was his predecessor.

Ok

There is a beat down, potentially of epic proportions (Cignetti doesn't seem to mind running up the score), coming this Saturday. Then a convincing loss to Illinois. Then a prayer in Minneapolis. Best case, Wisconsin goes 4-8--a meek 4-8.

.

No way.

Wisconsin's a November team.

Mac's kid (OT 2027) committed to Wisconsin last night.

I guess we're stuck with Mac and ickel for a while yet.

I hope he's a walk-on. He ain't that good, and his old man can afford the in-state tuition.

I'm a Badger first and foremost and I want whoever the coach is to have success.

That is different than liking the coach.

Most of us thought the team would be better this season, and with the schedule, felt that 6-6 would be a good accomplishment to build for next year.

It was obvious to me and most others that ickel made some terrible assistant hires and he made some changes. Most of us would agree that he didn't go far enough.

He needs to go further this year.

S&C needs to be blown up and built from the ground up. Too many injuries and the OL is weak against better fronts. Need to get a former Badger in that strength room. I certainly know who I want.

Ross Kolodziej - Stanford Cardinal - Official Athletics Website

Defense. He's not going to get rid of Tressel - we know this. The CB coach needs to go. I know who I want.

Jay Valai - Co-Defensive Coordinator / Pass Defense / Cornerbacks and Nickelbacks - Football Coaches - University of Oklahoma

Offense. I think he has to give the OC another year. The QB coach needs to go for sure. I know who I want.

Jon Budmayr - Iowa Hawkeyes Athletics - Official Athletics Website

I'd be OK with any of these guys at S&C too.

(11) Jeff Moore | LinkedIn

Shaud Williams - Football Coach - Mississippi State

Tough pull out of Denver with this one.

(11) Shaun Snee | LinkedIn

Even tougher pull out of LA with this one. He was the guy under Bert, back when Wisconsin bullied teams.

Can't get any of those guys unless and until Fickell is gone.

If anyone at Bascom Hall is listening, the announcement that Fickell is back next year sounds like prime opportunity to sack McIntosh. (I'm not sure who the AD answers to in Madison)

Many of them have very little connection to prior staff. Of course, some do have more.

Budmayr left Chryst to go to CSU after being with him for quite some time. He may be happy at Iowa - who knows. It's worth a phone call.

Valai played at Wisconsin under Bielema, although Chryst was the OC at that time. Again, he may be happy at OU. Still, it's worth a phone call.

Make them say no. I'm just sick of having OSU rejects all over the staff. I count at least 9, including S&C. If they were any good, they'd still be in Columbus.

Mac reports to the Chancellor. We'll see what happens with ticket sales and such. I don't think it's going to be pretty.
