The Viking Ship wants to be Lucas Oil Stadium in the worst possible way. It's fine for watching football over you get to your seat, but it's terrible for concerts and trying to use the head or get concessions. Internal circulation is bad, there are too many random choke points, and all the seats fell cheap and broken.

we discussed this at length a few seasons ago
not just NFL, but all levels of college ball as well

I really think it's college footballs fault. saw Brady talking about this and he basically said back in his day college teams used to mirror NFL systems so all the players would develop in NFL style concepts and offenses what have you. now that is reversed where colleges basically run fucking high school offenses so NFL is dumbing down it's systems for the most part because they are getting players way less developed. Brady also blamed the portal/NIL sayings kids aren't sticking in one school to develop like he had to and guys in his era had to- now they jump around to 2-3 different schools before they are in the NFL.

long story short, TL; DR -  fuck college football.

well, when O-linemen are some of,, if not the longest tenured position group in the NFL, the theory doesn't hold up.

especially if you want to win, like Brady and the others

These kids also spend their whole summers playing in 7 on 7 camps.  The QBs have never been better, the OL have never been worse.  Then you limit the amount of full contact practices.  Good for player health, bad for OL development

Thank goodness Burrow is out, and that is their OL, because it looks like Lions are down both starting CBs this week, and Kerby Joseph is questionable.

Brian Branch and a bunch of reserves/practice squad guys against Chase and Higgins

yeah this is also a great point that I didn't even think of. very true. it is just shocking to me to see how bad OL play has fallen off a cliff across the board.

for real. Burrow might be the single most valuable player in the NFL when you consider what his OL is and who his head coach is. that team is a literal dumpster fire without him.

Lions should be able to name the score though. I don't see anyway that Bengals OL will slow down Hutchinson or the Lions defense. Detroit by a billion.
