The Jets are waiving RB Donovan Edwards, per source. Dafuq he ran lights out when connor 👓 told him where the defense wasn't 🥳

With the Eagles and Cowboys kicking off the NFL season tonight, my hot take is Eagles Coach Nick Sirianni is already on the Hot Seat and will be fired if the Eagles don't have a winning season. Philadelphia is the only American fanbase where winning a Championship doesn't earn the coach an ensuing letdown season.

Wait... Why is it even thought of that they're not going to have a winning season? They're coming off a 14-3 regular season, retained their QB, RB, top two WRs, TE, on offense. I don't know their defensive turnover from last year.

I mean, if you're just saying it as a hypothetical, I might agree--if he has a losing season with that offensive continuity, something seriously wrong has occurred. But although I haven't followed their offseason well enough, I can't see how they'd have such a falloff without probably losing Hurts for the season due to injury. And then if they have a losing season due to their starting QB going down with an injury, I'm not sure I'd see even a rabid fanbase calling for his head.

My point isn't to predict the Eagles season, good or bad.

It's to make the point that Philadelphia has the most reactive hometown fans, which is saying a lot given the level of meltdowns we see with various college fan bases.
