Animals like turtles, birds, and sea creatures mistake deflated balloons and bright fragments for food (such as jellyfish). Swallowed rubber or foil blocks their digestive tracts, leading to slow starvation and internal injury. Mylar (foil) balloons never biodegrade even "biodegradable" latex takes months or years to break down fully
