I noticed they dropped the 'grass field' from the plan.  Makes sense to me given the desire to expand use of field beyond football.

All of these century old stadiums are  woefully inadequate in most regards.

Been some nice lipstick here and there w suites and club seats but the bowels and egress of some of these places is terrible.   Of course paying for it is another challenge.

I'm guessing donation levels for the fancy new areas will be expensive

I'm glad they are doing this - won't hurt recruiting & hopefully make money on the other events year round

This week in Husker history

1901: Emulating the football powers in the East, Nebraska conducts spring practices for the first time.

1906: Football’s new rules, including the legalization of the forward pass, get a trial run as Nebraska and Doane play a practice game on a muddy field in Lincoln. The initial reactions are far from positive.

1926: Nebraska halfback Roland Locke sets a word record in the 100-yard dash at the Drake Relays.

1971: A hard-hitting scrimmage has Bob Devaney optimistic about the defense.

1981: Quarterback Turner Gill runs for a touchdown and a two-point conversion with 24 seconds remaining to lift the Whites to a 22-21 win in the spring game. Roger Craig had 126 yards rushing for the Reds.
