Are the Utes going to be the home team for this thing?

I know Nebraska travels well, but if you guys are an accurate barometer, It's going to be all Ute fans. Just a hop, skip and a jump for them.

fortunately, we are NOT an accurate barometer

LAS VEGAS — It might be hard to distinguish the Nebraska red from the Utah red in the stands of Allegiant Stadium during this week’s Las Vegas Bowl game on Wednesday. But make no mistake, the Huskers will have themselves a large contingent of support in their corner.

Nebraska athletic director Troy Dannen, speaking Friday at the opening press conference at the Bellagio Hotel, said NU is expecting between 20-25k Husker fans flooding into the Sin City for the New Year’s Eve afternoon contest, hoping to see Nebraska end the season on the right foot.

It was 51 years ago today! Nebraska beat Florida 13-10 in the Sugar Bowl.
New Orleans, La., Dec. 31, 1974--Rallying from a 10-0 deficit, Nebraska scored three times in the fourth quarter to defeat the tough Florida Gators 13-10. It was the Cornhuskers' sixth straight bowl victory.
From the start, it was an uphill climb for the Huskers. Florida scored once in the first quarter and kicked a field goal in the second, while holding Nebraska's usually strong offense to 138 total yards.
But in the second half, fullback Tony Davis, quarterback Terry Luck, kicker Mike Coyle and the Blackshirt defense led Nebraska to victory, even though the Huskers didn't get rolling until the fourth quarter.
Freshman sensation, I-back Monte Anthony, scored the Huskers' first touchdown with 13:24 left in the game, when he ran straight up the middle for two yards and a score. Coyle's kick was good, and the Huskers trailed 10-7.
Davis set up Coyle's two deciding field goals with inspired running, as he picked up 126 yards on 17 carries, including the longest run of the game for 40 yards. For his performance, Davis was named the game's most valuable player, an award which he also had received in the Cotton Bowl the previous year. Coyle tied the score on a 37-yard boot with 7:13 left in the game. With only 1:46 remaining, his 39-yard kick gave the Huskers their sixth consecutive postseason win.

This week in Husker history
The week of Jan. 10-16, looking back in five-year intervals

1906: Kansas and Nebraska re-establish athletic relations after a three-year break.

1936: Coach Dana X. Bible sets the start of spring drills for March 2 and urges players to take part in indoor track in the interim.

1951: A 1950 Husker highlights film draws more than 800 fans to the Coliseum. Meanwhile, WOW’s two-season run of televising all Husker home games is over as the NCAA bans the practice.

1971: President Richard Nixon visits Lincoln to present the Cornhuskers a plaque declaring them the No. 1 team in the nation. Pictured on stage at the Coliseum with the president are coach Bob Devaney, fullback Dan Schneiss and linebacker Jerry Murtaugh.

1976: Tom Osborne’s pay is set to rise from $29,000 in 1975 to $30,918 in 1976 after he rejected a larger increase.

The 2009 Heisman voting is when they should have simply changed what the award means.

At least a RB won it, to keep it from being just best QB on a great team award...for at least a couple years
