New torpedo bats drew attention when the New York Yankees hit a team-record nine homers that traveled a combined 3,695 feet on Saturday.

Using a strikingly different model in which wood is moved lower down the barrel after the label and shapes the end a little like a bowling pin, Paul Goldschmidt, Cody Bellinger, Austin Wells, Anthony Volpe and Jazz Chisholm Jr. homered in New York’s 20-9 rout of the Milwaukee Brewers.

The Yankees hit four more homers in a 12-3 win Sunday and their 15 homers through the first three games matched the 2006 Detroit Tigers for the most in major league history.

“That’s just trying to be the best we can be,” manager Aaron Boone said Sunday. “That’s one of the things that’s gotten pointed out. I say to you guys all the time, we’re trying to win on the margins and that shows up in so many different ways.”

NY Yankees scored 20 in their 2nd game of the season.  NY Giants didn't score 20 til their 3rd game, and not at home until November

Dodgers were down 5-0, likely to take their first L.  Nah.  6-5 win.  Maybe a 49.1% chance of going 162-0.  haha

After an 8-0 start, the Dodgers' chances of going 162-0 are gone.

The entire AL West has a negative run differential.

White Sox are already dead last in the AL at 2-6 despite only a -4 run differential, which is tied with the 6-2 Rangers, who lead the AL West

And now in a 3 way tie in the loss column in the division

Albert Pujols might have dethroned Tiki Barber as most disappointing transition to analyst

Ah nothing like waking up to a hot cup of black coffee and a dusting of snow on the ground.....for the opening day of baseball in Cleveland. No worries though the mercury is going to shoot up to 32° - good times

Chicago in a few weeks. Bought White Sox tickets. Can't believe how rock-bottom the prices are. As low as TWO dollars and only FIVE for the lower bowl are like prices from the 1960s! ⚾

5 minutes before first pitch for White Sox Vs Oakland A’s:

We have our "reunion game" Sunday, usually the only game I attend in person.  That means most of the Fantasy Camp folks and coaches show up in a "suite" to have lunch (not very good) and banter about some (which is fun) and watch the game.  The "suite" is far from being luxury anything, the food is typical dogs and burgers etc.  They do have "free beer".  It's nice to see the guys but we keep up with each other through the year pretty much.

I think the Bravos started 0-9 but lost their shot at a defeated season by winning a handful.

What did you eat?

A Bavarian Pretzel w/ hot mustard, and cracker jacks. The box of cracker jacks ($4) was twice the price of the ticket.

The White Sox lost 8-0 to the A's. Their lineup is hopelessly awful; only TWO batters are hitting over .200.

Cool stadium but not much to root for for the 10,000 fans in attendance yesterday. The timing of the afternoon game worked out; once the game ended around 4PM it started raining.
