F the NCAA. Time to start over.

Meanwhile, the rest of the B1G not named Michigan are advised to take cover.

This is a giant bummer. I'm taking my kids to their first Michigan game in Ann Arbor for game 3 and Sherrone will be suspended. Now I have to explain to them why he's on the sidelines wearing Central Michigan gear with sunglasses on.

EDGE TJ Guy breakout candidate to have double digit sacks this year. Had 5.5 sacks and 7 TFL's in a reserve role last year- going to be a full-time starter this year. There has been a lot of noise about him for a couple seasons before he broke out last year in a backup role. Nice size at 6'4", 250+.

Other EDGE Derrick Moore looks primed for a breakout season as well. Former high 4* Top 50 overall in the nation 'croot in 247Composite and Under Armour HS All-Star Game MVP. Dominated Bama in the bowl game this year, will be going into his 2nd season now as a starter.

JR Cam Brandt is the 3rd EDGE off the bench- very experienced player rock solid run defender. Soph. Dominic Nichols is the next EDGE up that the coaching staff and Sherrone Moore in particular has been praising as a future superstar and the best pure pass rusher on the roster.

that EDGE room is loaded with young talent in the wings behind those guys with RS Fr. Devon Baxter (6'6"), RS Fr. Lugard Edokpayi (6'7" with 7 ft+ wingspan) and a pair of true freshman 5* Nate Marshall and 4* Julius Holly.

Everyone keeps talking about Underwood and I'm very interested to watch this defense again, especially in the trenches. It's what toppled the OSU team. If they had an offense with a pulse last year, maybe a qb with a pulse, games against Indiana, Illinois and washington could have had different outcomes. I don't think Texas or Oregon would have ever been in question as they were the better teams.

Lolwut? Kid literally just turned 18 yesterday and is 6'4", 228 lbs. kid is a specimen freak of nature- why you think he was the consensus #1 rated recruit in the country year to year without falling in the rankings?

this is from 1 month ago...wtf you talking bout Willis?

the defense is going to be phenomenal this year. feel like it is being slept on majorly by national media. it's going to be a top 3-5 defense in the country....again....even with losing Mason Graham and Kenneth Grant. Will Johnson missed the last 7 games of the season last year and the defense got significantly better towards the end of the season in the last 4-5 games when Wink started adjusting to the college game and dumbed down his defense a little bit and stopped blitzing so much.

defense is still loaded with future NFL draft picks, Rayshaun Benny is a STUD DT and they added a pair of talented veteran DT's in the porthole and will have excellent depth there, they got a guy that might wind up being the best nickel in the conference in the porthole in Metcalf, and oh yeah they get Rod Moore back at free safety.

And the coaches/insidery types are all super high on and basically gush/froth at the mouth about LB Cole Sullivan, EDGE Dominic Nichols, Safety Jaden Mangaham, and DT Trey Pierce unprompted. And if even one of those players breaks out in anyway this season the defense will be nuts- if all of them do- forget about it- defense will be ludicrous.

Only potential weakness I see is CB depth. Lot of talented RS/True frosh talent behind the starters Hill & Berry- but not much in the way of proven depth.

not disagreeing there. have to see it on the field first to believe. was just responding to Nubbz who was calling out Underwood's conditioning for some reason. Underwood is an adonis- kid is a mini-Cam Newton. He's a genetic freak of nature.

And while I agree with you in principle- McGuffie was not exactly the biggest guy in the world and was rated as a 4* top 200ish player in the nation- Underwood is a freak of nature physical marvel and was the consensus #1 player in his class wire to wire. There's a significant difference/expectation for a guy with proto-type size/tools and was rated as the #1 player in his class vs a guy that was on the smallish side for his position and rated like the 200th player in his class.
