here's the new post for '24.    things get stared this week.   I think Nebraska v UK is Tuesday on espn2.
like all sports,  scores of transfers and inter/intraleague shuffling.      FF is in Louisville in December.

Congrats to the Gophs.  I was at the lake and missed the game but box score shows it to be a hard fought win.

Like I always say, I love that in volleyball, the top teams aren't afraid to play big OOC matchups, even on the road.  Makes it all so much more fun.

yeah, i caught the digestible highlights.     match went on forever (NCAA does need to work on same pace of play issues)  not sure why an Olympic five setter can be done in 2:10 but collegiate 4 setters can run 2.5, and 5setters north of 3 hrs.

replay review and timeout lengths.

i was checking out the schedule for week or so ahead.

It’s a volleyball shocker in Dallas as No. 2 Nebraska is swept by unranked SMU, 25-23, 25-21, 25-18.

My dfw friend attended (he has smu daughter) he said it seemed like players met in parking lot, meaning, no communication.

I've had those days coaching.  I like the humbling feeling for my kids.  Probably shouldn't happen at that level, though saw it at Olympics too in Mens medal matches

Serve and serve/receive seemed the biggest problem, but they were off their game in all aspects.

For the first time, the Nebraska-Creighton match will feature two Top Ten ranked teams. The No. 5 Huskers will host No. 9 Creighton this week. 

“I think it’ll be a really great battle on Tuesday,” NU senior Lindsay Krause said.

Set 3 was great TV.   Cook a very curious late sub choboy for Beason blew up in his face. 

They run out of subs, 5 ft 3 choboy ends up playing around the front row,  i think she came in at 29s, yet Creighton managed no swings over her inexplicably.   Match had 3 lopsided sets.   Really should've been a sweep.  Kudos to Coach KBB, though likely painful as any,  keep falling just short in the match-up once again

swings over Choboy or not having a 5'3 lady in the front row gave an edge to Creighton 

not sure what the coach was thinkin but I blame set 3 on him

Wow, beat down in Lincoln. #5 N sweeping #2 Stanford easily and #1 Pitt sweeping #3 PSU.

I'd still expect to see Stanford in Louisville for FF in December.
