I tried some MJ in college, didn't like it then, don't use it now.

The doc put me on statins because I was at 201.  The stuff makes me really sore after a work out, which isn't great.  I might get the blood test done again.

Fentanyl is Schedule 2, MJ used to be Schedule 1.

They don't have that effect on me. Of, course there a lot of different gummies out now.

Are they legal in AZ? They are not here, but we get them from a guy who knows a guy in Illinois.
I believe all of it is legal here.  There are dispensaries all over the place.
Weed just puts me to sleep.
I took 2 gummies the last time I flew, made the 4-hour flight feel like it was 15 min.

Yep, that's why I don't use it. Some people in college would get happy and energetic. I would get couch lock.

Although maybe it would be useful specifically for sleep, because I sleep like trash.

That will change in the near future, I think.

You need to take CoQ10. It really reduces the effects of statins.

I was at 206. Now I'm at 98.

Coenzyme Q10 - Mayo Clinic

Research on CoQ10 (Coenzyme Q10) use for specific conditions and activities shows:
  • Heart conditions. CoQ10 (Coenzyme Q10) has been shown to improve symptoms of congestive heart failure. Although findings are mixed, CoQ10 (Coenzyme Q10) might help reduce blood pressure. Some research also suggests that when combined with other nutrients, CoQ10 (Coenzyme Q10) might aid recovery in people who've had bypass and heart valve surgeries.
  • Diabetes. Although more studies are needed, some research suggests that CoQ10 (Coenzyme Q10) may help reduce low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol and total cholesterol levels in people with diabetes, lowering their risk of heart disease.
  • Parkinson's disease. Recent research suggests that even high doses of CoQ10 (Coenzyme Q10) don't seem to improve symptoms in people with Parkinson's disease.
  • Statin-induced myopathy. Some research suggests that CoQ10 (Coenzyme Q10) might help ease the muscle weakness and pain sometimes associated with taking statins.
  • Migraines. Some research suggests that CoQ10 (Coenzyme Q10) might decrease the frequency of these headaches.
  • Physical performance. Because CoQ10 (Coenzyme Q10) is involved in energy production, it's believed that this supplement might improve your physical performance. However, research in this area has produced mixed results.

I tend to be suspicious about various and sundry advertised on TV that will :cure what ails ya".  The placebo effect is so significant I really suspect most of these things are just that, but maybe some have a therapeutic effect.

I tried melatonin because my wife said it works great, and some others said the same, and could discern zero effect, but that is highly qualitative of course.  I've seen some recent stuff suggesting it could be bad for us.

One thing I know is that the stomach is a chemical factory and a lot of stuff we eat doesn't survive intact after pH 1.5 sloshing about with a lot of enzymatic activity.

My little brother has smoked to help himself sleep for his entire adult life.

I can say that I've used it for my autistic son who had trouble getting to sleep. He has no placebo effect because he doesn't know what it's supposed to do. Puts him to sleep very quickly.

I personally have zero trouble falling asleep; it's staying asleep that gets me. I've tried a slow release melatonin and showed no difference.
