One Good Thing About College Sports

We don't have a battle of sports teams being subsidized by states and municipalities, to stay, or go. Kansas, Missouri reignite border war over Chiefs, Royals stadiums (desmoinesregister.com) We have government subsidies, but generally it doesn't involve subsidies to encourage or prevent geographic relocation.
College sports does have conference realignment, but that seems to almost entirely be about private enterprise. There could be some chinks in that private enterprise armor, too, but I don't know where.
