In a few hours, Nebraska looks to become the second NCAA volleyball champion to win it all without a senior on the roster. The only other, according to ESPN, is Pacific in 1986. They beat…. Nebraska.

obviously a huge part of it was the Lady Horns playing at a very high level

Congrats to Horns, condolences to Huskers.  No doubt we'll see these two teams in the finals more times in the future.

Guess I can watch the abridged version on dvr x3 later.   Just got home.   Uncanny how often when these teams play, it's often the 'lower' seed that does the undressing of the other 

A text I got from my fellow coach a few hours ago.  'You know how you tell the kids it's all about serve and receive, and if you can't do that nothing else matters?'

That's all I need to know about this match it sounds like.

Yeah that was the story in this match.  From the midpoint of the second set, Texas serve was devastating.  Definitely the best I've seen all year from them.  Nebraska youngsters really did seem to get rattled at that point.

Nebraska volleyball fell to Texas in 3 sets at the national title game on Sunday. The Huskers, which had been No. 1 for most of the season, struggled to get anything going against an impressive Texas team.

Following the match, it was revealed that the Huskers and Longhorns’ title bout broke an ABC viewership record for college volleyball. The viewership total of 1.7 million breaks the previous record of 1.66 million set in October during a regional window, according to Sports Media Watch.


It also shatters the previous record of 1.2 million for a national title bout, which was set by Nebraska and Wisconsin on ESPN2 a few years ago.

How are they gonna do the schedule when they add the Pac 4?

If you think it is imbalanced now...  hope they don't do what the XII did which is schedule one way doubleheaders  (ex. BYU plays Texas twice this season, back to back at just one school).
