We leave Feb 11 on an 18 day cruise out of Abu Dhabi ending in Athens, Greece.

Some neat side stops.

NCL.  Large ship, works for us just fine.  I spent a lot on excursions on this one.

That would not be my cup of tea without a military escort.

I'll sneak a couple into my luggage.  We actually have a tour of Oman scheduled.  Oh, man.

2,402 guest capacity, 1,037 crew.  It's one of their smaller ships, built in 2006 and recently refurbished.

This is a pricey cruise for us, I used the last of my options to cover it.

I like 1000 or less on a ship, and no water slides, etc.

We use cruises to explore places we can't readily access on our own, and to discover a location we think we'd like to return.  The European cruises work well for that, we get a day or two in a city and move on without unpacking.  I have not done a Viking river cruise, we did one with a no name operator.  It was OK.

We're looking at Asia next, maybe.

Anyway, the size of the ship is not a concern for me personally.  We get a balcony suite which helps, but gets pricey.

Balcony suite is a must.

We like this line, a lot.

Azamara Luxury Cruise Vacations 2022, 2023, 2024

Four ships, 700 passengers, 450 crew. No kids, no casinos.

There won't be many kids on this cruise.  There haven't been many at all on our European cruises.

That's good. Less chance to catch a cold or something.

I have 3 cruises coming up.

Next Week - Key West & Bahamas

In March, taking my kids who live on the west half of the country on a mexican Riveria cruise

In April, taking the kids on the east half of the country on a Bahamas Cruise.

We enjoy cruising.  Many times if it is a place we have been to before, we just stay on the ship and enjoy ourselves on a mostly empty Boat.

Went on a Western Carribbean cruise at the beginning of December.  Was great, almost no children on board. +

Had a Northern European Cruise booked before Covid broke out, Haven't rescheduled that one.  Original plays were to go a day early spend it in England and stay 2 days after and spend it in and around Paris.  Maybe later this year or next.

Oh and yes, balcony is a must.

Haven't done a viking river cruise yet, but definitely something we are considering.
