Sorry Minnesota, but Michigan is the center of college hockey right now.

Apparently the MSU-BU game on Friday night on espn2 was the 4th highest rated college hockey game of all time on ESPN, including national championship and Frozen 4 games.  Highest rated since the 2018 NC game

Nice to be ranked I guess, but it's probably short lived since the rest of the Conference is ranked higher.

Surprised this was 8-pages back. Anyhoo, fresh off another Wisconsin/Ohio State women's final (Wisconsin back-to-back champs; four straight WI/OSU finals), the Men's tournament starts next weekend. Michigan is the top overall seed, Michigan State is #3, and Penn State and Wisconsin are also in. Michigan could face Penn State in the second round, and Wisconsin could face Michigan State.

North Dakota is the overall #2--old school WCHA. Denver, Minnesota State, and Minnesota-Duluth round out the former WCHA.

Also, Minnesota has cleaned house for its men's and women's programs: both head coaches are out. Or, as SFIrish put it, they Zamboni-ed their coaches.

As long as MSU doesn't have to play OSU, I like our chances

MSU is 1-3-1 against OSU, and otherwise 15-3-1 against the Big Ten
OSU is 3-1-1 against MSU, and otherwise 5-14 against the Big Ten
