The PS3 finally bit the dust, and we are still a year away from a new PS5 NCAA game, so RIP the PS2/3 sim (2004-2021). Also trimming it from 16 to 12, to reflect what I actually wish it would be. A 10-2 format, with the 4 best conference champs getting a bye, and the first TWO ROUNDS being at home sites. This changes the previous format by (a) eliminating 4 at large births, being #6 Tennessee, #10 USC, #11 Penn State, #12 Washington (oddly, #5 Alabama makes it under neither format); and (b) pushing bowls back to just the final 2 weeks.

Ideally I'd only partially seed the quarterfinals, and put them in bowls on NYD. Big Ten-Pac 12 in the Rose; SEC in the Sugar; Big XII in the Fiesta; and ACC in the Orange. Seed those 3 champs, and put them in reverse order of the other 3 teams. So for example, if the favorites all won in the first round...
- SUGAR - #1 Georgia vs. #16 Tulane
- ROSE - #2 Michigan vs. #8 Utah
- FIESTA - #3 TCU vs. #4 Ohio State
- ORANGE - #7 Clemson vs. #9 Kansas State
I know people would bitch about that being unfair, but I think it would help bring NYD and the traditional bowl tie ins back
