About - Republican Jim Pillen

Only one person has ever earned all conference honors while wearing #29.  That man is Jim Pillen.  Pillen was a two time All Big 8 selection, earned Academic All-American honors, and was inducted to the Nebraska Football Hall of Fame in 2004.

But most folks (myself included) remember Pillen for his moment in Husker lore:  1978 versus Oklahoma.  Nebraska is clinging to a late lead when Billy Sims fumbles.  Pillen recovers the fumble and Tom Osborne earns a signature win.

Just beat the Jets 21-16 didn't watch the NFL and Jimmy Haslem are/is a real PsOS. A-Hole wants a new stadium evidently the new one is 24 yrs old. Always weird to me how Dickerson and Faulk had mirrored careers.  Both played better on the Rams, Dickerson starting with them and going to the Colts, and Faulk vice-versa.  Both ran for near 13,000 yds and 95 TDs.  Faulk had a ton more receptions/yards, but still.  
Very different runners having eerily similar careers.
