I'm sure I'll be the only contributor to this thread as I'm the only one that cares about IU football. But anyway....

Starting right tackle Matthew Bedford is out for the season with a torn ACL. So the worst positional unit in the conference just took another hit. Tom Allen's inability or refusal to part ways with O-line coach Darren Hiller could eventually be his undoing.

32 yards of rushing on 26 carries against Illinois says so. Bazelak had the longest run of the night and it was 12 yards. They were decent in pass pro but the run blocking has been abysmal for the better part of two calendar years now.

Is this why Penix left the program and transferred?

I think that was more of a case of just needing a fresh start. He experienced his greatest success with Kalen Deboer as the offensive coordinator. The injuries and the stagnation of the offense under Nick Sheridan were probably the deciding factors for him.
