MSU coach issues a generic statement that he is proud this guy is part of the team. Weird statement to be sure, says nothing about standing with the player.

Duke did the exact same thing before the investigation proved that their VB player was lying. Then of course they never apologized for the false accusation.

Wash, rinse repeat.

And that player also got a game misconduct because the ref heard them say it?  Anson Carter knows the point of the Big Ten is to cover for UM and PSU as long as it keeps making them money.

Hockey does a good job policing itself on ice, so hopefully that piece of shit has to play with one eye over his shoulder like other pieces of shit like Claude Lemieiux.  And I'm guessing he will also turtle when having to pay for being a piece of shit.  Or, maybe the Bruins will sign him anyway

You probably still believe the Duke-BYU volleyball thing too.

This woke blood thirst thing is getting old.
Nope, because that player wasn't ejected because a ref heard her say it like the OSU player was.  Sorry that hating racism is "woke" now. Weird that you would take the side of the racist, but to each his own.

And yes, if he made it up, I hope his career is done, like Jesse Smollett, and the ref, who game him a game misconduct for also hearing it.  But I'm also impressed that a mediocre college hockey player and an NCAA ref conspired together to frame another mediocre college hockey player for racist remarks for no benefit to themselves.  Which is what you would have to believe to buy the Big Tens story.  That kid is lucky he played for one of the two programs the conference exists to protect

In this day and age you'd be better off getting multiple DUIs than to have your name tied to a racist incident, true or not. Yet you expect me to believe that this guy was out there dropping N-bombs to the younger brother of his former teammate in front of the refs, based entirely on the word of one player when his own teammates aren't even speaking up on his behalf?

I mean the ref heard him, and ejected him for it.  But it's the Big Ten, where Ohio State and Michigan hate each other, but neither one realizes they are both who everyone hates, because the Big Ten solely exists to protect them.  Unless the referee gets fired for kicking a guy out for no reason, he did it, and the Big Ten stands by the game misconduct being sufficient penalty, as every media outlet has reported.  But hey, go ahead and defend the OSU hockey version of Taylor Lewan, that's your right

I mean the MSM isn't even running with this, and they enthusiastically jumped all over Smollett, Bubba Wallace, and Duke Volleyball, even though all three were clearly ridiculous from the get go. That tells me that they find this to be even fishier than the others.

But yeah, if true there's no place for it. Some sort of punishment should definitely be issued, like say, a ten minute misconduct penalty, or the like.

And no, the ref didn't say that he heard it. The player said that the ref heard it. There could be any number of other valid reasons that he was issued a ten minute misconduct penalty.

You can grab the pitch fork and join the twitter mob if you like, because "screw OSU!" That's your right, I suppose. As for me, I'll stick to the facts.

The facts show that he got a game misconduct because the ref heard him.  And the Big Ten hasn't even disagreed with that. They have just agreed that the game is conduct was sufficient. And you're right to agree that that is enough. There is no room to argue that it happened, because it clearly did, and the player was punished in the moment for it

You can believe what you want, but you've already admitted that your motivation is driven by OSU hatred, so it is what it is. I get the fan angle, it's fun to troll teams you don't like, but I'm not really into all that to this degree. I hate the Steelers, and two of their QBs were accused of racism in Big Ben and Mason Rudolph. With Rudolph, it was a player from my favorite team lobbing the accusation, and I could have had a little fun at the expense of the Steelers. But instead I admitted that the accusations were flimsy at best, because they were. But that's the world we live in, I suppose.

Big Ben was a piece of shit.  Nobody but blind Steelers fans defended him. The number of children's Steelers gear was limited. Our firstborn son got two roethlisberger jerseys, and my wife returned both of them. If your argument is that you also defend pieces of shit for your rivals, that's a weird hill to die on.  It has nothing to do with it being Ohio State. Other than the fact that the Big Ten will go out of its way to make sure it's two money makers never have to answer for anything

Literally, every Big Ten Hockey fan bases Twitter account, including OSU, has denounced this.  And demanded a stricter punishment. On that, the hockey news, the Columbus Blue jackets beat reporter, and the Columbus Blue jackets fan account has demanded the same.  My only demand is that the money makers are held to the same level of accountability as everyone else in the conference

I mean he is a piece of crap, but I don't have any reason to believe he was outwardly racist. The Illini alum that made the accusation (can't remember his name) even retracted it. As far as I know the worst thing he did was get so wasted that he mistook a regular club patron for his escort. Not very high character, and I had a lot of fun with the Steelers fans for that, but the racist thing was ridiculous.

If I were going to lob these accusations fictitiously, I'd pick a game where a player from the other team got a ten minute misconduct penalty in order to make the accusations more believable; even if it took me ten days to connect all of those dots. If that's your smoking gun, lol.

Like I said, if he and a big 10 referee got together to make a fictitious accusation, then they should both be done.  But that is literally the only argument against this being true

Per OSU AD Gene Smith, after discussions with the OSU player, he has been sent home and will not practice or play with the team.  Good on Ohio State for acting where the Big Ten didn't have the balls to do so, and where fans blindly defended him in the face of overwhelming evidence.

If something changes, the MSU player should be sent home instead, but to this point all evidence was to the contrary, and the Big Ten bowed to one of their two bosses

Yeah, a University siding with woke is definitely convincing. That never happens.

Well you got your pound of flesh. You should be satisfied. Probably not though, because you people never are.
