Sounds like Matt Campbell, Lance Leipold and Bill O'Brien comprise the shortlist.

I would note hire Campbell. The other two are great coaches.
I'd hire Leipold. Campbell is SO overrated and BoB is pretty MEH.

I'm not gonna judge BoB on his NFL tenure.

Just as I wouldn't judge Pete based on his first NFL crack, or judge Urbs and SoS on their failures.

15-9, 10-6 in Conference, playing in the East under those sanctions for 2 seasons

looks pretty good to the guys in Lincoln right now

Watching the Baylor at ISU game.  Campbell’s mannerisms remind me of Bo Pelini.  Aranda is more stoical like Tom Osborne. No, I don’t think Aranda will leave Baylor for Nebraska.

Getting multiple unsportsmanlike conduct fouls to keep an opposing go-ahead drive alive?

Screw Aranda to Lincoln. He's wanted in Madison.

Not even close.

But, I do remember Aranda's defense puking up 59 in Indy. So there's that.

Aranda is going to want out of Baylor

or any place in the leftover Big 12 after the Horns and Sooners get out

any Big 12 coach worth his salt is going to jump to the SEC or BIG

where they have money

Sounding like Ga Tech's coach may get fired Monday.  I don't view that as particularly important news in CFB.  Tis a small pity how far they have fallen also.

Small.  I would stop scheduling them.

Yeah, that performance was much worse, but what could he do. He didn't have a single DB that could cover Devin Smith, and virtually no film on a QB who could throw it 60 yards on a rope, hurdle LBs and truck DTs.

I am not an Iowa State fan. There was an invisible hand at play constantly assisting Baylor. There was one tirade, but Campbell didn't swing a hand or a hat at the referee. While I am not an Iowa State fan, Campbell had to make a point, and he did so without appearing to be Atilla the Hun, or either Pelini.

I don't agree Campbell is overrated. What is underappreciated is coaches who come out of the top programs of D-III. Leipold and Campbell came out of top D-III programs where they must develop players. It is what is required at places like Kansas, Iowa State, Iowa, Minnesota, and Nebraska, -- and to a lesser extent at Michigan.
I agree that of the two, I'd hire Leipold.
