Been hearing unflattering things about Scott Frost.  Late to practices, too drunk to meet a recruit.  You know, the typical batch of junk that comes out after somebody is fired.
I'm hoping it's ALL true and then some
would be a bit of an explanation of performance and a reason to believe the problem can be solved

bet most of it is probably true. Scott Frost strikes me as the kind of guy who would be a drunk. And smell bad too. He just looks like he smells really bad.

I'm guessing parents and kids that aspire to go to the NFL would sign up with Urban
it's a big draw and Meyer is proven at producing NFL talent
I always find that pitch a little odd. Not from the coaches, as they’re salesmen. But from other adults.

It’s crazy how they recruit kids who look like NFL players in HS, and somehow manage to build them into NFL players.

Plenty of 4 and 5 star players never see the nfl. Plenty never see the field in college, which always amazes me. I always wonder what happened to those guys, other than an injury. Was it their worth ethic, mental ability?  Or is the whole star system really flawed, which is probably the most true.

probably a little bit of all of it- plus some guys just peak in high school early- flat out never get any better after high school. other guys- even HOF type guys- look at Brian Urlacher or JJ Watt for example- take awhile to mature while they are in college- hit a growth/development spurt 2-3 years into college then blossom into all-world players.

He kinda resembles Todd from breaking bad doesn’t he?  :)

THIS WEEK IN HUSKER HISTORY

The week of Sept. 16-22, looking back in five-year intervals

1982: Nebraska sets four NCAA records in a 68-0 home win over New Mexico State. The margin of victory remains the Huskers’ largest ever at Memorial Stadium.

1987: The Huskers have the week off, but 68,000 show up at Memorial Stadium anyway – for Farm Aid III.

1997: The Huskers jump into the thick of the national title hunt with a 27-14 win at No. 2 Washington.

2007: Ball State, coached by Brady Hoke, gives the Huskers all they can handle and then some, but Nebraska escapes with a 41-40 win in Lincoln.

I was at each of the events

well, remember watching the 97 win over the favored Huskies in a bar in Des Moines - Frost played a helluva game

2007 was when my daughters experienced some new colorful vocabulary in the stadium - 9 and 11 years old

Nebraska defensive coordinator Erik Chinander has been relieved of duties.

Interim head coach Mickey Joseph made the announcement in a statement on Sunday afternoon. Special teams coordinator Bill Busch will coordinate the defense for the remainder of the season.

“We appreciate Erik and the work and dedication he has given to our football program,” Joseph said. “At this time, I feel that it is in the best interest of the Nebraska football program to take the leadership of the defense in another direction and decided Bill Busch will take over as defensive coordinator.”

Nebraska’s defense ranks 128th in the country through four games, allowing 514 yards per game. Oklahoma tallied 580 yards in the 49-14 contest on Saturday.

When you get $15 million to walk, you get it all and laugh along the way.
