Probably safe to say you can cross JL off of the UNL search list (and anyone else's list). From 247:
"I mean, I understand it," Leonhard said. "I don't really pay too much attention. I get a lot of texts and calls about it. It's funny. There were many verified, kind of random sources out there yesterday that I had taken jobs. It was pretty funny to see. I have talked about it a lot, man, I am comfortable here. I am not saying this is the place I'll be for the rest of my life, but I love this place. I love what we're doing. I like the guys and who I am coaching with. I am not in a rush to make the decisions that some people think I am."
"I think a lot of people have ideas about what my career is gonna be and what they want it to be. The beauty of my career is that nobody needs to know or care. I love Madison. To me, there's some unfinished business with the University of Wisconsin. I love this group of kids and want to continue to develop them."
"It's kind of crazy to see within the course of seasons these decisions being made," Leonhard said. "Obviously, (it happens) more and more year in and year out, which adds more speculation when games are being played. That really wasn't the norm not too long ago."
"In reality, it's the recruiting piece of it," Leonhard said. "I think it's unfortunate. I think it needs to change because it gets, you know, what are you doing? I hate what it does to the kids at Nebraska. I hate what it does for the players. You're asking these guys to do so much and buy in and be a team. And you make these decisions. What are you telling them?
"I think it puts the kids in the worst position because how are they supposed to feel when they're getting preached to do things the right way and all of the sudden there are drastic changes two or three weeks into a season? It just looks bad to me. I think that needs to be changed more than anything because it just puts off the wrong message on what is really important."
