Barron Miles Jr. announced on Tuesday night his plans to be part of the Nebraska football program, joining as a walk-on.
Oh yeah, that name rings plenty familiar, doesn't it? His father Barron Miles was a standout cornerback for the Huskers, a senior on the 1994 national championship team. He won the hearts of a fan base for the way he blanketed receivers, including his dogged coverage in the 1995 Orange Bowl. He also had a rather memorable blocked punt, taking it right off an Oklahoma State punter's foot and into his jersey number for a touchdown.
Barron Jr. will look to make his mark on the other side of the ball, planning to play receiver for the Huskers. He's already in Lincoln.
