I'm not NFL honk at all, but was distracted by some utterance of Edelman being HOF material.  Wut?  He's got a case like a poor man's Robert Horry, or Madison Bumgarner. Count DA Ringz!

Whatever gets clicks.

But- they are the Browns- so every time you expect them to take the next jump- means they'll go backwards and probably finish 4-12 this year.

This is very interesting to me. He's incredibly talented, but he's never remotely come close to living up to the hype or #1 overall status. Garrett has lived up to all the hype and then some- so if Clowney has ANYTHING left in the tank he should be able to thrive on getting pressure off of 1on1 looks. They don't need him to be a sack meister. They just need maybe 7+ sacks and lots of pressures for it to be a good signing. Browns are at least trying to get better. Depending on how they do in the draft and Baker's continued to development- they could make some real noise in 2021. But- they are the Browns- so every time you expect them to take the next jump- means they'll go backwards and probably finish 4-12 this year.
The big thing for the Browns with Clowney is he is very good against the run.  Any sacks are just gravy if he stays a very good run stopper.

Actually for the first time in a long time the draft is relatively unimportant for the Browns.  The offensive is almost completely back from last year and the "holes" on the defense were filled in free agency and the return from injury-covid opt out.

Don't get me wrong, they need to draft well to sustain, but 2021 season success or failure will have very little to do with the draft.

Hmm, pretty soon, the Browns will experience other new, exciting feelings about girls and getting hair in strange places...
