MSU offered 3* WR Jace Goins from Toledo, who was committed to ND for baseball.  He had football offers from Yale, Virginia and Minnesota.  Immediately after getting the MSU offer he announced he wasn't playing college baseball...but it also seems like some helmet programs have some interest.  My guess is as a full football recruit, he's going to start jumping up the rankings.  Apparently he's 6'2" and still growing.
Posted a perfect 4.0 GPA last semester and said right now he's just focused on that.  The Yale offer makes sense.  I said last year I was worried MSU was overcompensating for the character disaster of the 2016 class, but it turned out to be a good thing.  If the staff thinks a 3* 4.0 GPA Ivy League acadmeoc type from Toledo is worth an offer, I'll defer to them now.

How come I can't find anything about Jace Goins?

IS it really Jase Bowen you're talking about?

The PSU offer will come, as will OSU and Michigan.

If UW can hang on to all the kids they've gotten thus far, it will be a record-breaking class as far as STARZ are concerned.
PSU only has 3 in-state offers out at this point.

Sooooo I see Illinois's name popping up a TON for some pretty well rated kids for 2019.  CB's everywhere or making a lot of kids' top lists they tweet.  What's up in Chambana?

Pay for play is an Illinois tradition...

Truth be told, Illinois has recruited fairly well (not OSU/PSU/UM/UNL, but mostly better than its division rivals), until recently.

Coaching has not been done fairly well to match.

That's the thing....what's changed?  I don't recall anything of significance at UI that would facilitate this.

It's a down year in PA talent wise, and PSU's approach (as I assume many other schools' approach) has changed with the new recruiting rules.  PSU going heavy into Texas and Florida this year, as well as typical in the DMV.

and it's an up year in Nebraska, but I'd guess there are still 4 times as many legit D1 recruits in PA.

Huskers have offered all 5 in the state and have 3 commits

Nebraska has offered 261 prospects already in the class. The total leads the Big Ten. No Group of 5 program has offered more prospects than the Huskers. They rank seventh among Division I and Power 5 programs as of Wednesday.
