UM offers LB Brock Horne as a PWO.  Once MSU lost out on the Cali kid to Washington, I liked Horne's film enough to give him a scholarship offer as a Plan B.  Still has no P5 scholarship offers I believe, but if UM gets him as a walk on, that would be a steal.  IMO hell be a contributor.

247Sports updated their rankings yesterday.

Michigan RB commit Zach Chabornnet out of California jumps all the way up to #26 overall and is ranked as the #3 RB. In striking distance of the coveted 5 STARZ!!!! His composite ranking jumped all the way up to #100 with the update.

Michigan DL commit Chris Hinton Jr. out of Georgia plummets from #36 all the way to #104 in their rankings. Hinton has lost his 5th star in the composite, but is still ranked in the top 40 in the composite- which means ESPN and Rivals have him ranked a lot higher than 247.

Michigan's class is ranked 8th in the nation in the 247Composite class rankings with this update, and they are ranked 3rd in 247's own class rankings with this update.

OT Logan Brown moves into their top 5 players overall. Still pissed off that Wisconsin snatched him. If I'm Jim Harbaugh, I send Ed Warriner to his school and make him live there until Brown agrees to visit Michigan.

Interesting battle brewing between MSU and OSU for rising 3* DT Cavon Butler.  Currently committed to Kentucky, but apparently because he has a grades issue, and none of his other offers (MSU and OSU included) are commitable for now.  If grades get up, seems certain he'll flip to one of those two.

haven't seen this mentioned yet, know it's only a CRYSTAL BALLZ prediction- but it's significant imo.

Probably the top guy covering recruiting in the state of Ohio over at 247Sports- Bill Kuerlic- just changed his crystal ball from Ohio State to Michigan for 5* DE Zach Harrison. Kuerlic is basically the Ohio State version of Sam Webb. Homer, yes. But the dude is plugged in. He doesn't make predictions or talk about things he doesn't know about.

You never know with recruiting, but right now, it looks like it's happening. Looks like Michigan may have pulled the #1 player in the state of Ohio, a kid from Columbus- literally 15 mins down the street from The Shoe. A kid that's a 5* and the #5 player overall in the 247Composite. Won't believe it til the signature is in, but it looks like Harbaugh just might've pulled it off. Crazy.

I dunno. He's always been luke warm for OSU. But it's good for Michigan that they are an alternative for those kids again.

Nebraska football picked up a commitment on Sunday as Westlake, Georgia, safety Myles Farmer committed following his official visit to Nebraska.

The 6-foot-3, 194-pound Farmer was one of several official visitors to Nebraska on the weekend, and pulled the trigger on a commitment after returning home. Farmer announced the decision on Twitter.

I don't worry too much about rankings, but Nebbie is 21st, behind Arkansas and Tennessee.

and it's always good to have at least one Farmer on the roster

4th in the conference, about where they belong
the question is:  Can Frost get them in the top 2 or 3 in the conference, overall or by average star?

One of the top prep running backs in Colorado, Zach Weinmaster, announced on Twitter Sunday he was walking on to Nebraska's football program.

Zach Weinmaster is the younger brother of Husker inside linebacker Jacob Weinmaster, a former walk-on who received a scholarship in August. Jacob Weinmaster has 13 tackles this season, mostly on special teams.

The 5-foot-11, 185-pound Zach Weinmaster is likely to play on the offensive side of the ball, perhaps at receiver. At Loveland (Colo.) High School, he's a star running back who has rushed for 1,667 yards and 25 touchdowns this season. In his career, he's rushed for more than 4,400 yards and 60 touchdowns.

Michigan picks up a commitment today from 4* CB Jalen Perry (6'1", 188 lbs) out of Georgia. Perry was committed to Georgia for months, but de-committed about a month ago. He was basically down to Michigan, South Carolina, Auburn, and Florida, and he just picked Michigan today. He's the #171st ranked player overall and the #18th ranked CB in the 247Composite player rankings.
