Not sure Billy Mays would put it that way, but that's a good way to put it.

Western barfed up the NIU game. So the Chips have a chance, but have to beat Toledo.

That was barely football.  Would have been fun on natural grass.  There was a MACtion game like that back in like 2006 or 2007

I took the wife out to our local French restaurant last night (and to Costco earlier in the day), her first sojourns outside the building in 2 weeks.  She did just fine, we had a nice meal, she had some lobster tourine thing for dinner, it really was an appetizer.  I had scallops, which the French call something like "Ko-quiya San Jack".  I don't know what wrong with just scallops versus naming it after some dude.

The hospital brought her "French toast" one morning which she did not eat.  They don't have this in France apparently.  She said the dinners were good there.  I got some lamb chops for tonight which I'll grill.  She wanted turkey Thursday so we got some prepacked meal at Costco with enough Turkey to feed us for a week.

We'll see how that goes.

As for Oxyclean, it is a rip off.  I buy bottles of hydrogen peroxide for 88 cents at Walmart, same thing, it only works in hot water (or with a long presoak time).  The old Tide with Bleach had a different kind of bleach that sort of worked, mostly on tomato stains.  I worked on that project back in 1984 or so.  They pulled a cute trick to get that priced the same as regular Tide.

my chemistry prof at UNL had one session about Tide detergent

I don't remember it word for word, but it was interesting

something about adding stuff to make suds, otherwise women wouldn't purchase

My mom used "Dash," which I don't ever see anymore.
Dash advertising emphasized that it had low sudsing and that suds don't do anything to clean your clothes.

Dash is not sold any more.  Back in the day, it had the highest phosphate content and was a really good product.  Everything is nip-P now so it's gone.

Bubbles help a lot with dish washing liquids but not at all for laundry detergents.  But Tide replaced soap products.  Soap is its own "builder" (taking out calcium and magnesium from hard water), so women knew to add soap until suds started to form.  The original Tide could have been formulated for low sudsing but the consumer would not have liked that at all as they associated suds with cleaning.

In the newer machines this is even less relevant today so products are low sudsing now.  Products like Cascade for your dish washer are VERY low sudsing because bubbles can cause the pump to over heat.  Don't use Dawn in your dishwashing machine.  It happens with dire results.

Column about UGA-Tech that amused me.  UGA has not lost in Atlanta to Tech since 1999.  I was musing about going to the game but the weather is going to be horrible.
