I think it is still no more than 30% of matches played at a point prior to the halfway point of season.

Excellent.

Since Audra Appold only played the first eight games out of 31, she should be a shoo in.

What I can't tell is was Stanford just off or flat tonight, or was Florida that good.   When you compare tonight to how Stanford played Texas and how Florida played USC...  those were not the same teams.  Stanford didn't look near as good and Florida looked significantly more consistent.

Maybe this is Florida's magical year and one for the history books..

Yeah,  Florida's 3 elite players were on tonight, and they served very well.   Stanford never really looked comfortable except in set 4.   They lost tonight, but Hentz, the libero for Stanford is really insanely good.  She could play for Team USA tomorrow, no disrespect to former Husker JWO the current libero.   Florida, like Nebraska enters the final fighting off a match point in the tourney, that's rare to see in a final.    UF block was exceptional tonight, as usual.    Nebraska dropped a 5 set match at Florida to start the season w/o their setter Hunter,  I like Nebraska's chances, but Florida really looks focused.    They, like PSU, have much better athletes all over the court than Nebraska.  Should be a good final.

I probably won't see the match until Sunday morning, I have plans Sat. night, and the match starts at 9pm est  I've warned the three people who text me about vball not to talk about the match.

Florida has that "team of destiny" going... emotional leadership, senior leadership, coach who has a great career w/o winning it all...   just have that sense this is there year.   They really should have lost to USC (who choked imo), yet they pulled it out.   It appears that created a lot of confidence.

Wow, Nebraska won?

When I left to go see Star Wars, Penn St was up 2-1, with a big lead in the fourth.

Mary Wise is a legend in Gville.  I hope she gets her NC.

I've interviewed Mary Wise a couple times.  No doubt one of the ambassadors of the game.  She would be the first woman head coach to win a title.

Her first HC job was with Iowa State, when she was 21!
