The fact that MSU's top talent was so senior laden is probably not a great sign for next year

The Findlay Oilers avenge their loss to the Hillsdale Chargers in the GMac CCG by knocking them out of the NCAA Tournament in the first round. (D2)

So that's another victory for an Ohio school, against a team from the State Up North.

They went 2-2 against each other this year, and have played each other thrice in their last five games.

Purdue struggled but won 3-1 over much maligned at large High Point.  HP won set 1, and blew a 22-19 lead in set 3.
Canes in 3
Gators in 3.

Utah in 3 over Cleveland State on Pac12.

On Friday night on Pac 12 you can catch Purdue v Utah  (watch Cuttino jump over everybody for Purdue)
BTN I'm sure is showing hoops.

Damn TV networks putting on the sports that get better ratings.
In seriousness, I'm surprised volleyball and soccer don't get better coverage.  MSU is in the Elite 8 tonight in soccer, and not on tv, nothing before the Final 4.  I get they aren't going to go all out for either, but if every single baseball game is on, you'd think more volleyball/soccer would be.  Both are at least on an equal level with softball, which at least has better coverage than this.  I think I'd rather watch all of the variations of Real Housewives before I watched one inning of softball.

I doubt volleyball gets many eyeballs at all.  I suspect they only get 1/2 million viewers for the FF.  I just like poking fun at BTN Olympic sports coverage vs Pac 12 network.   Pac 12 network may have its problems, but covering volleyball isn't one of them.  The only thing that legitimately irks me is the love for women's hoops (and softball) vs other events that I would rather watch.  Me first type complaining to be sure.

I've never taken the time to dig into it, but I've noticed that MSU women's basketball coverage on BTN always seems to line up with men's.  That I wonder if they schedule their men's games, and then if that school has a women's game the day before or the day after, BTN picks it up.  That it's out of convenience more than anything.
I think if you buy BTN+ you get pretty much every game produced by the host school.  I don't get why BTN doesn't at least simulcast more of those?  Maybe to force more people to subscribe?  Maybe the low production value would damage the brand?  I don't know, but I do wish they'd up their coverage of olympic sports and classic games.  I actually think the coverage of both was far better when the network first launched in 2007.

To their credit they have indeed made (nearly all) vball matches available on BTN+ and their streaming is fair to above average, even though I'm not all that excited about watching streaming video on a device.   This is where I would love Nebraska public television.   They have such great production for volleyball matches.

I get to see all of the UT volleyball games, and well produced, too.  You should get your own school network, I highly recommend it! :)

it wouldn't surprise me to see, NET, a network for a state of less than 2 million get better ratings tonight for volleyball than the LHN

just one reason Nebraska volleyball turns a profit
