That, and swimming and diving, are all we've got.

Meanwhile Buckeyes come back from 2-0 and win in 5 at wis.  Badgers can't win a 5 setter all year.

Columbus State won the "Region G" bracket, and will advance to their National JuCo Tourney.

--------------------------------

Otterbein won the OAC tourney in straight sets (three 3-0 victories) and made it to the NCAA DIII tourney.

They have made it exactly 4 times before, all in consecutive years (2010-13), where they went 1-4 in those games.

If they win one this year, they will likely face Ohio Northern for the third time in the next round. They beat ONU in 5 on the road during the Regular Season, the two teams shared the Regular Season OAC Title, and Otterbein beat them in straight sets in the Final game of the OAC Tourney.

The winner of that game would likely have to face Wittenberg, the best team in the State and one of the top teams in the Nation.

-------------------------

And most importantly, my HS alma matter Dublin Coffman advances to their fourth straight Ohio D1 Final Four.

Their current coach is on an 11 year run that has seen 11 straight Conference Titles, 11 straight Sweet 16s, 6 total Final Fours, and 4 State Championship Game appearances.

ZERO State Titles to show for it, though. Maybe this year?

It turns out that Otterbein is the host site for that entire portion of the bracket.
So evidently their OAC Titles combo was deemed more impressive than Wittenberg's North Coast Titles combo.
Far out.

Nebraska volleyball has its highest ranking in four weeks, moving up one spot to No. 6 in the AVCA Top 25 on Monday.

The Huskers have won seven straight matches since an Oct. 11 loss at Wisconsin bumped them from No. 4 to No. 7. They will take records of 20-4 overall and 13-1 in the Big Ten into a Wednesday night home match with Maryland.

Nebraska remains the only team to beat No. 1 Penn State (23-1), which received 56 of a possible 64 first-place votes in Monday's poll. The Huskers and Nittany Lions share the Big Ten lead, with Minnesota a game behind.

Also from the Big Ten, Minnesota is ranked No. 5, Michigan State is at No. 8 and Wisconsin is No. 10. Creighton remained No. 14 this week.

Excellent. I'll watch, as it should be a big enough blow out for them to safely roll her out there for a rotation or two.
She's lucky she didn't get burned at the stake, after blowing those first two games while the other Hunter was out.

She played well and quite a bit last week and will probably play more minutes tonight

• Redshirt freshman setter Hunter Atherton has made two starts and played in 12 matches and has 137 set assists, 43 digs and eight service aces.

I have caught wind from a tiny contingent of 'self proclaimed' experts that they aren't sold on Atherton as a S at Nebraska.   I think it is nonsense.  Let the young woman get her feet wet before next season.   I'm glad she got a few cracks at the beginning of the season like that, and she does come in here and there, often to serve and play the back row.    Every new setter will struggle when your first match is against a top 5 team on the road, and a second match against a top 10 team.
