>> Finally, tonight at 7, in the 37th-largest state in America, two volleyball programs 60 miles apart will host NCAA tournament matches, both in front of packed houses. Don't take it for granted.

Big ten did fairy well going 7-1 In round 1, Michigan went down to my surprise.  Purdue lost in round two at Utah which is not at all bad.   Lots of good matches Saturday night.

Wow, Michigan looked like a team peaking at the right time.

Was hoping MSU-Creighton would be on the, but nope.

For being the #12 team in the polls, hell of a draw for MSU, getting #25 Missouri State and then a too 10 Crieghton, just to reach the Sweet 16

McKenna Miller and the Cougs have their own network, and they'll be airing this evening's Duck roasting.

Round two results and moving on to the Sweet Sixteen.  6 B1G teams to the SW16. Pac with 5. SEC 3.

Michigan State wins in Omaha vs #9 Creighton in four sets.  Pretty convincing win.
They will play Illinois which upset #8 U-Dub in five sets in Seatlle
#1 Penn State dropped another set, but beats Pitt in 4
Missouri upsets #16 Wichita State in 4 sets.

#3 Stanford cruises to Sweet 16, and will play equally rested Wisconsin, which swept #14 Iowa St.
#11 Utah will face #6 Texas  (Utah took out Purdue Friday,  UT beat NCSt)

#5 Nebraska swept Wazzu in 3, and will face Colorado, which blasted #12 Baylor
#13 BYU handled Oregon in 3, and will face #4Kentucky which survived a 2-0 deficit to win in 5 sets vs instate foe Western Kentucky.    They were awfully close to gagging the host regional to Nebraska.

#2 Florida handled the Canes in 4, and will host #15 UCLA, which beat my dark horse Cal Poly in 4 sets.
#10 USC rallied to beat San Diego in 5 sets, and will face #7 Minnesota which ground out No Iowa in 4 sets.

Sure would have preferred to stay at home this round rather than be on the road in Palo Alto, but I think Texas can win through here.  Won't be easy that's for sure.

That's a long shot.   Ill say there are better odds Pac12 gets 3 and those are tough odds too.

Wow, still no TV?  MSU has now reached the Elite 8 and Sweet 16 in the sports I enjoy the most outside the big four, and none have been on TV.

Win, and they will be on TV Saturday.   I notice they are televising only the top 4 seeds on Friday.   Men's Soccer FF is wedged in between the Vball matches.  Same as last year, as some match went into OT and the 10,000 angry viewers missed the first set and a half of Vball of the night cap.

The streaming works, but its still streaming of course.    This is an improvement though,  last year was the first year they bothered showing any regional semis on ESPNU.  They might randomly have one match in year's past.   BTN shows hockey doubleheader at 6:30pm Friday,  not sure if they have any rights to show these rounds, since ESPNU is handling 8/12 matches this weekend.   I know the Pac12 Network says they won't have them, thus no Nebraska v Colorado TV.
